    One instance is a coincidence

You have this picture here as one ( we won’t even talk about he made the eagle more Nazi like)

They use a Nazi rune for the stage at the RNC where they proudly post the “joke” that they are domestic terrorists.

Their side is EXCLUSIVELY made up of Holocaust deniers.

Their side is made up of EXCLUSIVELY of this country’s neo Nazis and white supremists

    Stephen miller plagiarized Goebbels

Trump kept and read Mein Kampf next to his bed

Trump, Vance, and musk campaign for and donate money to the German AfD party who are KNOWN to be NAZIS

Elon Musk “jokingly” sieg Heiled twice so forcibly that he grunted

They have built, and are still building , concetration camps.

Their new illegal bunker has a, very legal I’m sure, medical research facility in it

They all constantly talk about Eugenics.

They are bringing back public executions

This is all aside from. Their policy decisions. At this point, if I meet you on the street and you say that they ARENT NAZIS, we will have problems

They love to force suffering on others.

It’s like a pressure release valve for them. When they make others suffer it slightly lessens their own terror for a moment.

Whatever bullshit they have to say or do, incantations, prayers, dumb hats, whatever to get to the part where millions suffer, they’ll do it.

I’m not saying this image is generated, but it is at least a little bit weird that a reverse image search only shows this specific comparison. I even tried Google Images for a “Visual Match” instead of just Tineye, and nothing.

That, and Hitler’s eyes look weird, and the folded Nazi flags in the back look garbled. Circumstantially, it’d be extremely fucking weird if whoever planned this layout put a plant obstructing the view of the symbol on the podium. And what the hell would that cut-off, stark white symbol at the bottom right be?

The image of Hegeseth is real

Sorry, I should’ve been more clear; I was never questioning the Hegseth image.

The image of Hitler may be altered

Generated, not altered. I don’t think this speech footage/image existed at all. The angle is weird along with the other points.

It’s very clearly generated. None of the flags make any sense, there are so many odd things that are AI specific details.
There has to be some image that’s similar to this though.

Yeah pretty sure it’s generated. Look at the flags in the background, the black in the centre doesn’t make sense on a lot of them. And the people in the bottom left corner also look strange. Another strange point is the swastika below the eagle: the upper arm seems to be a bit shorter than the others. And the style of the eagle itself looks strange to me, but I’m not a historian, so that is just feeling, not knowledge.

I agree the Hitler image is fake or modified. The Reichsadler is made to look even more similar to the Department of “War” eagle. The usual head shape of the Reichsadler was a little more burly and less like a bald eagle, I’d say.

Honestly the Nazis were not this Uber competent group. Tons of in-fighting, poor strategic and logistical choices, and they did not run the government nor country in this rigid orderly way that is and was projected by their propaganda.

I would say they had a very good propaganda campaign that’s still ongoing and paying dividends. Once you look under the surface some and start learning more about how the country was governed it becomes clear there was plenty of room for improvement.

I mean, think about it this way, they chose to commit an industrial genocide on a hellacious scale wasting men, material and destroying the soul of a nation. How much more manpower would they have had if they didn’t commit these crimes against humanity and instead had drafted these folks.

Like I know it’s not a great comparison or awesome though experiment and lacking any nuance but I think it makes a point.

Nazi economy was dependant on war. Their propaganda that Nazis have fixed the economy was so good that it lasts to this day. While the person responsible for it was ingenious his policies went all against at the time rules of economy and for a reason. It was just masking the problem which could be hidden only as long as there was war. In defense of the economist it was not his plan unlike other nazi’s to expand the war, but to stop pretty early compared to what happened. I would love to answer any questions but even after spending 90 minutes on a 30 minute video I was not able to understand it completely.

this would be like trump telling hegseth to read more harry potter to figure out how to strategize better in the straight of hormuz…

I remember back when Cracked was good a writer doing a number of articles aiming to dispel the “mystique” of the Nazis as some sort of genius-level evil and expose their incompetence. Iirc, documents have shown that the Nazis would’ve imploded on their own due to their own idiocy.

Growing up I heard all this “the German people are the smartest people in the world and Hitler was able to pursuade them through his charisma to create this insurmountable enemy that we were blessed and lucky to defeat…” Hitler won mostly through election interference and their own bloviating stupidity was a key factor in their downfall. Fascists are stupid. Deadly and dangerous, yes. But ultimately really stupid and we need to not allow any mystique saying otherwise to crop up. Fascism always fails. It hurts a lot of people in the meantime. But it will always fail.

"For my own part I wish the Bald Eagle had not been chosen the Representative of our Country. He is a Bird of bad moral Character. He does not get his Living honestly. You may have seen him perched on some dead Tree near the River, where, too lazy to fish for himself, he watches the Labour of the Fishing Hawk; and when that diligent Bird has at length taken a Fish, and is bearing it to his Nest for the Support of his Mate and young Ones, the Bald Eagle pursues him and takes it from him.

"With all this Injustice, he is never in good Case but like those among Men who live by Sharping & Robbing he is generally poor and often very lousy. Besides he is a rank Coward: The little King Bird not bigger than a Sparrow attacks him boldly and drives him out of the District. He is therefore by no means a proper Emblem for the brave and honest Cincinnati of America who have driven all the King birds from our Country…

“I am on this account not displeased that the Figure is not known as a Bald Eagle, but looks more like a Turkey. For the Truth the Turkey is in Comparison a much more respectable Bird, and withal a true original Native of America… He is besides, though a little vain & silly, a Bird of Courage, and would not hesitate to attack a Grenadier of the British Guards who should presume to invade his Farm Yard with a red Coat on.”

The eagle is clutching arrows, representing a fasces, the root of the word fascism, representing the power of the state. Traditionally depicted with an axe at the centre, a fasces was a tool used by the roman armu to discipline soldiers. An axe for decapetation, rods for beating.

these things are everywhere un modern nation states, but I’m told it’s not important, it doesnt mean what i think it means.

it is also the root of the word f*ggot, a bundle of sticks.

Fasces are bundles of sticks, not arrows. The American eagle has always held arrows, along side an olive branch. Peace and aggression juxtaposed. Unless you’re saying that the US has always been a fascist state hiding in plain sight, it’s not the same symbology.

As to “faggot” meaning a bundle of sticks, yes that’s one (non-slang) definition of the word. Another is a type of meatball. The slur having any relation to the “bundles of sticks” definition is urban legend

Hegseth has obviously nazified the eagle, and made himself echo Hitler in an ill-fitting suit, for sure, but the links you’re coming up with are just bollocks.

When I had the misfortune of travelling in the US one of the many things that were striking to me was the use of fasces in monuments, including engraved in marble on a war monument in Washington Square Park in NYC.

Of course it’s far from the most fascist thing about modern day America, but it was fascinating to see how blunt it is. I’d jump if I saw the same thing in Europe.

Symbols are for the symbol minded - George Carlin

The thing that makes this regime similar to the Nazis isn’t the way they draw eagles.
