I really think Ubuntu is the most common first distro people try. A common reoccurrence here is the inability to see what an average person, in terms of tech literacy, knows and are willing to put time and effort into. Ubuntu has been the face of Linux for a long time (obviously not based on people who know and use linux). I wish Mint took that place as it’s so much better.

Off script doesn’t mean not trying to make a sale at all. And you gotta realise “a long time ago” makes anything you know invalid? It’s the same thing as old people thinking young people are bad with money because they can’t afford a house, car, kids etc. on a single income, like they could.
I used to do graphic design about 15 years ago but don’t anymore, I’m not gonna tell someone who does it now that I know anything about how it currently is. Very weird to not be aware of something like that without having to be told about it.

People who cheat is not the norm though, it’s very much not human nature. A part of humanity (or any species) doing bad stuff doesn’t make it the nature of that species. Pedophilia has also been going on for as long as humans have existed but it’s not human nature, it’s some individuals being sociopaths and have a mental issue that makes them attracted to something over 99% of everyone aren’t.

Which isn’t surprising at all, tons of weebs here so that just comes with the territory. I have not once met a weeb that I didn’t feel was at least a bit creepy, and they always have so much social awkwardness and major lack of self awareness.
I really hope Anime stops being popular one day, the world was better before it became a thing.

  • This is pretty cool IMO. A study made from this where a large group of people had a pen like this and then you compare the patterns.
They’ll definitely be different based on so many things like what kind of work you do, hobbies, obesity, “phone neck”, how much of a social life you have, what kind of devices you use most.
Now I realise that there are too many variables, still would be cool to see differences in patterns from different individuals.

  • Recycling is a very local thing, do it instead of leaving the bottle somewhere it can end up in nature. It’s also just a good and nice thing, same as minimising your plastic use, eating less meat (or ysing any products with animalistic ingredients etc.), buying as much as you can second hand or from companies that specifically go for longevity, natural and ecological ingredients, sustainability and so on.

The real choices are what brands you buy from. Never give money to any company that has any connection to people like this.

I’d rather not see it. Us non-weebs are force fed anime and related shit to a point of anger. It’s extremely annoying and too much get through even with filters in place. Weebs don’t understand how bad it is, and how not just being uninterested but actual disliking it makes the internet a shitty place to be.
