Ingredients - cabbage salad (with fresh coriander/parsley/caraway seeds/lime juice/olive oil), beef & pork (with ground cumin/coriander/smoked paprika/msg/pepper), butter sauteed leeks, beans, corn, greek yogurt (with garlic/fresh dill/olive oil/lime juice/pepper), grated cheese (cheddar/emmentaler), red onions.
These look really great! Perhaps you could format the ingredients as bullet points, making it much easier to see at a glance what you used.
I didn’t mean my post to be a recipe, just wanted to give a bit of detail, but it kept expanding as I was writing :) Fair enough, I’ll try to make it a bulleted list.
Shit rolled up in a tortilla, that’s a burrito
Shouldn’t a corn dog be considered a burrito?
Or is it a ravioli?
I believe a corn dog is actually a hybrid nugget / lollipop
I’ve never seen anyone suck on a corn dog.
I really haven’t lived I guess.
….
I’ve always wondered what makes a wrap different than a burrito since it, too, is wrapped in a tortilla.
Yum, shit burrito
I wouldn’t want to have burritos at your place if you’re just rolling poop into tortillas. 🤢
Hell yeah! That’s a great looking burrito. Love cabbage salad. What’s the question?
Thanks! The question is - can this be considered a burrito? I used random stuff about to go bad from my fridge and pantry :)
A burrito is stuff wrapped in a tortilla. This is most definitely a burrito.
** Stephen Harper intensifies
To me, a burrito is a subset of wrap (which is a subset of sandwich).
A burrito is a wrap using a tortilla base and usually has texmex (or similar) fillings.
I would call your thing a wrap (non specific), but ultimately it doesn’t matter what it’s called so long as it’s yummy and people understand what you are talking about
Your leftovers look way better than anything in my fridge 😞
Haha, they were looking pretty dank before prepping them :))
Culturally? I’m not positive. Personally? Damn straight that’s a burrito.
When I make burritos at home, they’re almost exclusively made with leftovers.
If there was any doubt: you got yer beans, beef, cheese, green leafies, onions, corn, peppers (okay it’s paprika but still) coriander, cumin, and lime, all pretty traditional elements. The unfamiliar flavors? That’s fusion, baby! A delicious and healthy fusion burrito. Also practical, using leftovers, that’s grandma-approved.
“burrito?”
This looks and sounds AMAZING. Beautiful work. Yum.
If anyone that works at chipotle is watching this is the correct way to make a burrito.
Do NOT put each ingredient one after the other… that’s just a kebab without the stick.
