FTC asleep at the wheel again. We need more competition, not less.

What? Are you not excited about only having to consume your products from 3 different entities?! It’ll save you tons of time! /s

Hey no worries. My landlord has a specific agreement that guarantees we have to choose either the one true service provider or nothing for our services.

In exchange, the landlord company gets kickbacks, and when your landlord is richer, everyone is happier.

        MVNOs are not competition.

Given the hundreds of billions it would cost for an actual competitor to build out their own infrastructure, it’s likely the most we can realistically expect.

Just lovely. Despite being a long-time Mint customer (and currently pre-paid for quite some time into the future) I fully expect to get screwed in some substantial way by this.

We really liked them and had prepaid annual for a few years in a row, but last winter I had to use their customer service for the first time and it was one of the worst CS experiences I’ve ever had. It was bad enough to leave their service completely when our year was up.

Any idea if this will effect Simple Mobile? I know a lot of these bargain carriers are the same product with a different wrapper.

Obvious biased sources will be removed at the mods’ discretion. Supporting links can be added in comments or posted separately but not to the post body. Sources may be checked for reliability using Wikipedia, MBFC, AdFontes, GroundNews, etc.

3. No bots, spam or self-promotion.

Only approved bots, which follow the guidelines for bots set by the instance, are allowed.

4. Post titles should be the same as the article used as source. Clickbait titles may be removed.

Mods may use discretion to pre-approve videos or press releases from highly credible sources that provide unique, newsworthy content not available or possible in another format.

7. No duplicate posts.

If an article has already been posted, it will be removed. Different articles reporting on the same subject are permitted. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.

8. Misinformation is prohibited.

Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.
