My wife is a victim of sexual assault and while I’m generally anti carceral I do think that these sexual assaults need to be treated as misogynistic hate crimes, and that crimes (against others) done for clout need to receive extra penalties.

Yeah it’s actually a serious problem how many hospitals in the US are non profits run by religious organizations. Like, your local ER has a decent chance of being owned by the catholic church and you won’t know until you need medical care they don’t approve of.

Yeah the only ones I can think of that used to be used the current medical way are cannabis for appetite and analgesia and psychadelics for ptsd and addiction. Both of these examples are obvious to anyone who’s used such substances.

Cannabis just makes you hungry and hurt less. Traumatized people who do psychedelics tend to revisit their trauma in new lights and having a guide to help with it is something a lot of people figured out was a good idea.

I found she was a terrible choice for the character she played in it. Like I think she’s a fine actress, but she definitely doesn’t play a rugged desert woman well. I think a large part of my issues with her character are from the writing/adaptation, but I also don’t think that she’s who I’d cast.

Nah, it’s in line with myths and traditional stories. Would a faithful adaptation be cool? Sure. But retelling and reimagining ancient stories is tradition.
