A thing that I often feel with pizzacake comics is that the message needs to be there regardless of wether or not we think the comics are funny.

We are in fact talking about nazis. Doesn’t matter if they’re from WWII germany or current day USA. Or wherever and from whenever.

There are still people who live as if it’s 6 years ago. Hell, I’m sure some still live in their heads in pre-2016 times. As if all of this fucked up shit isn’t happening under our very noses right now.

And for those, yes it bears repeating over and over again =>Nazis are not to be negotiated with<=.

It needs to be stated because the broad public opinion does swing back and forth on the whims of media.

So yes, punch Nazi’s. Make old timey Superman proud.

To put it another way: don’t argue with people John Brown would’ve shot

I see way more comics about comics about Nazis than comics about Nazis.

i would love to go back to a time where comics weren’t about nazis but sadly life is full of nazis in power right now stripping peoples rights.

I’ve got to say that Pizzagate’s comics aren’t really peak comedy for me, but i appreciate the usage of the medium for criticism - the format spreads a lot easier and further than an essay on substack.

I really don’t mind the crusade against nazis. That’s great, honestly. I just feel like I have seen most other comic artists be wittier and more skilled at presenting their ideas. I swear you can agree with someone and still not be a fan of their art.

It takes about 5 seconds to read it and continue scrolling. It’s not a zero sum game, her making those comics doesn’t prevent other artists from making similar ones. You can enjoy them and also enjoy this, even if you enjoy the others more. Or ignore it. Or downvote it. It don’t understand the controversy either way.

I didn’t even downvote it and to be honest I only ever comment on these “callout” comics complaining about negative feedback. I think this is the second time I’ve ever shared an opinion on this comic online.

That is what I’m doing. Leaving a pretty tame comment on a post where the comic author is specifically addressing her audience (or critics) doesn’t seem inappropriate to me. I even said that I agree with the sentiment. What part of this basic human interaction is so offensive that you felt the need to tell me not to comment in the first place?

What client do you use? Most have a block function and they conveniently put the comic name in the title.

    I love pizzacake posts.

Not bbecause I like her comics, frankly I find then boring and uninspired, but because there will ALWAYS be losers complaining about it in the comments instead of simply ignoring it lol

Just to clarify, you like that someone has posted something you don’t like, just because other people don’t like it even more?

Funnily enough, this one is actually pretty funny. Not so much the comic, but because someone clearly got under her skin enough to get her to make this.

        Not liking ≠ disliking/hating

I don’t care for her comics, the content is simply not for me so I don’t engage with it. Whether they’re posted here or not makes no difference to me.

But the posts themselves? There’s always people complaining and, more often than not, irrationally so. They can choose to ignore them, scroll past and leave it at that. Instead, they go and write a comment of how bad this comic is and how unfunny of a content creator she is and bemoan about blocking all her content. It’s like they’re purposely putting on a circus show, and I’m all for it.
