“Always Look On Bright Side Of Life.”
Seriously no one said REM??? Maybe im old. Fist song i thought of ha
Olivier Messiaen, Quatuor pour la fin du Temps (quartet for the end of time) was the first one I thought of. It was written in 1941 while the composer was interned in the German Stalag VIII-A POW camp. I’m fairly sure I’ve listened to it but I don’t remember anything about what it was like. Its fame is partly from the circumstances of its composition and premiere.

And on a lighter(?) note, Tom Lehrer, So Long Mom.
Thanks a ton for all the awesome suggestions guys! This sucker’s getting more and more awesome by the second :D

- The 1975 - Love It If We Made It

Also, your apple account has a real name so you just doxxed yourself, might want to delete.
A le. Poof. But I tend to be pretty open about that, my GitHub and a few other accounts have it as well xD
Skeeter Davis “The End of the World” is a tonal shift from most of what you have there but after watching Girl Interrupted, it would be a must have on the list for me.

The end by the doors
Ultravox - Dancing With Tears In My Eyes
Heretoir - The Ashen Falls, some big layers extinction metal dirges
Municipal Waste - Escape from New York, I’m just a sucker for intros with movie clips and thrash with post apocalypse vibes
Electric Wizard - Funeralopolis, earth is a graveyard planet
Portishead - Roads
Goodbye Horses by Q Lazzarus
“I’ve seen them come, I’ve seen them go.” And you said, “All things pass into the night.”
Not sure if it quite matches the vibe you got there, but “Goodbye to a World” by Porter Robinson feels very much like an end of the world song to me.
