The EU material was beautiful steak, and then they let RJ and JJ slop em up. I mean it was fun watching Luke die himself to death at Maskopher, but at the same time you know what he could have done? Something like how how in rotj yoda dies by too many questions? and then yoda sits there as a force ghost and says “ha! see how now it feels you do hoo hoo hoo hoo” and then scampers off into the force aether like a gremlin. that’s what they should have done.

i mean i guess it’s easy to backseat editing room now, but pretty much anything feels better.
