  • I think in general people gawking at one another is not only training us to react to things that challenge us with bullying (mockery) but equally it doesn’t help us grow as a people. I hate racist, I don’t benefit a damn thing from hanging with racists. But I will also say that racism is there. I am not going to pretend it’s not. And I will also say that by thinking/talking/etc. feeding the media machine and filling it with someone’s name you basically increase the chatter about them. Which I suppose you can see right now.

But that all together I would love the face of the internet to change because I think we’re too prone to low-level jeering. And I think we can do better as a people. Which I would say is why I have never been on 4Chan and was very happy to leave Reddit. Because people who communicate like that in real life a fucking assholes. And I don’t really want to be a part of that. Putting someone down, to pick myself up.

  • Heyyyy!! I dig it, go grandpa! Glad that he’s still kicking. Apologies. My family is the size of a peanut and never really had much in the way of _ anything =P! Really. And it’s pretty non-traditional so I don’t know much about you know stuff like this. But I have read a lot about wills and people being money hungry. And I hilariously think about god what was that one movie…I forgot it’s name but that one Wes…oh - Grand Budapest Hotel. Isn’t there a scene in it where a bunch of folks come out the woodwork looking for snips of cash? I’m not sure how all estates are settled, but I will say that if your mother is being inappropriate about her father’s finances I’m glad that she’s been superseded.

I’m sorry about your grandma though, it is rough and grandmas make the world go round so big hugs there. I said my peace on all of that, and it really just…ugh. You love em, even when they’re long gone. Sounds like something’s gone down but all things aside I think the high road is the one worth taking 9/10 times. Then sometimes you just gotta head into Russia and bomb up the joint. But all things aside, I hate passive aggressiveness (perhaps because I am aggressively aggressive) but that shit always rubs me the wrong way. It’s like playing shitty chess, and and people are trying to subversively manipulate you instead of saying what they need. And you’ve got a wife - so you’ve got to know clear communication is necessary to keep a healthy relationship going. So at the end of the day I actually (personally) consider that shit abusive. Which…on my end kinda sucks =P! Cause I currently live in for sure one of the most passive aggressive states in America =P!

No worries about feels dumps, you gotta express yourself and you’re SUPER allowed to. Hell I dump all over the joint, no worries! I think you’re a bigger person for dumping because most people keep that shit in. I mean for each of us, how many people are just sneaking around peeking at shit and being little voyeurs. At least you’re out here participating =P! You do you, you’re doing good!

I have had the grace of being able to form a little micro-relationship with my last grandma and get some stories (as well as share some) which would otherwise be lost to time. Including some really eye opening things, which have been so…pleasing as a human to hear. I honestly - well the one thing I told my gal when I met her is that I want a relationship much akin to my grandparents. Because most folks come and go and bob and weave. The gay community isn’t know for it’s sticking power when it comes to relationships. And I was getting older and I just wanted a person to “span time with” (thank you Buffalo 66). And we’ve been together since for 10 years and shit has been all over the place but I am really thankful she bought in. Cause you gotta get someone to buy in, you can’t force that kinda thing =P! And it has been such a lovely thing to have that kind of commitment and I really wish it for most folks (not all, but most) in a relationship because I don’t think I’d trade this for anything. And while our branches of the tree might not be continuing onward after us it’s been a blast just being able to be with someone you can laugh and reminisce with even after 10 freakin’ years. I might not get that whole 50, but I hope I can get some solid time with the missus before one of us leaves this mortal coil.

That got me all in a feels kinda way. You put a dumb smile on my face, and I thank you (and your seemingly lovely grandfather) for that =)! Best of luck, and people who put money over family don’t understand the meaning of life. Cheers!

  • Ah shit, yeah see I didn’t know. Just you know - listen to the music cause a cute gal likes it. Typical dumb teen shit =P! Yeah actually, I dig joints like that but I see their roots fading as time goes on. Kinda like say - Andersonville in Chicago. I mean still there, but for sure less a cultural thing, more of a “chip-ster” (chill hipster) spot =P!

My namie-name is a reference to the goof-about show Mandy. In it there’s a payday loans commercial for a company called Cash Maggot =P! S’all~

  • Idk bullshit peddler, I can’t get with you on this one. Because I think at the end of the day - anything will be seen as “up for grabs” and illustrators will be on the outs like loomers. And while I am somewhat okay with the idea of rug makers (among other loomable items) being antiquated - creativity should not be because it’s the pulse of human expression for many and if we lessen it/deny it - I think the whole world will begin to taste like corn-flakes.

I saw this growing up in a way, they took our arts program and nobody really found any way to express themselves and at the end of the day where I grew up very few people ever amounted to much of anything =/! I think expression is needed, and must be safeguarded because you need to feel safe to express and must know that it’s a worthwhile venue to venture into. But this is all kinda arm flapping. You can’t stop the future and clearly AI is here to stay - so now we’ve got to work around what we can.

But, by the by - I still love the bs you’re putting down =)

  • ++ I get so bummed out that people who are running models are unabashedly stealing from people left and right and then shrugging their shoulders for their unethical practices. Perhaps pay people for their catalogues at an agreed upon rate or be a disgusting pig and buy from their estate after death. But don’t just come out here and train your models on everything as if it were a free for all and as if creativity amounted to nothing more than fodder for unabashed capitalism =/!

  • I thought Germany was huge on developing cars? Maybe I am just a fool. Also I was thinking about in the past, Mexico for sure is a major car manufacturer nowadays. And…I just realized you’re talking Bugs. I liked those Rabbits. I wish as a whole America had more economical, small-form, simple cars. All of the cars here look like shitty space-ships and they’re way too big and I am not sure how these “luxury cars” ever feel like any kind of luxury. Because everything feels cheap, probably because it is.

  • I know that there are a series of faux-findings. Because I believe I read one in a book…? About chicken bones being used. And I know that there is a black fossil market including fake fossils. But the west went through their own bone wars and it makes me think that perhaps this is just an alternative of that. But I think there are so few great discoveries here in America exclusively by this point on account of everything being so moist and developed (although I know bogs can preserve things). I believe all the latest findings coming out of China are all from a desert portion of the country. And that perhaps being under-developed in that space and perhaps faults being exposed by say…earthquakes or something make the striation more visible which in turn leads to more fossils being detectable? I am not sure though, because I know very little about China as a whole and am not a geologist or a paleontologist.

  • Oh sigh, I didn’t catch it first go round because I didn’t really care that much but I knew so many human beings who came out as “bisexual” first me included because being gay all the way would have been too risque. I was watching…I think it was Clerks. Yeah, for sure it was Clerks. And 1/2 the jokes in there were homophobic. And the reason why I say this was because at the time to be gay was to be deformed, perverse, you were a broken hell-destined human being. At least if you had one leg in the door you’d be okay. But at the end of the day idk? I am not Freddie Mercury. I wasn’t raised in any which white way and I for sure did not listen to Queen or the Beatles until I was an adult. I have zero skin in the game and I don’t really care to speculate about dead celebrities, let alone celebrities on any large or real scale. But I will say that there was a ton of things that people had to go through back in the day that I think people had to hide or overcome through non-traditional pathways that would be less of an issue nowadays. Although it still is to some point, and I’d say it’s probably a ripple effect of culture x toxic-masculinity.

  • Gay men always sang in a straight way, hinted in a straight way did all sorts of stuff in a straight way because it’s what sells, it was what was expected and it was what was normal. Have you seen a gay man’s ass? They’re far more fantastic than any woman’s. They just do it right =P! Mind you, I’m a dyke, so this is me speaking out of love. But a simple place to point would be Labi Siffre. Who is also from the same time period and area abouts. He sang about women all the damn time, but that man had two partners he loved very dearly and neither were as such. While I can’t point one way or another I will say not only was it a different time but even within the gay scene it was a different culture. People did what they needed to do, or thought they should do - in order to cope. And for sure when I came out I was still rolling through waves of it too. It’s why I am glad queers nowadays (not as a whole but more so than ever before) can just be big old fagolas and what have you. But there’s still more work to be done. I haven’t really been a part of THE CULTURE for a min, so it’s all kinda foggy. But I will say in general, for sure I have seen some real “cover-up” stories for people just trying to do what’s right. But either way you’re entitled to your opinion and I am entitled to mine. I don’t really give a ploop about Freddie Mercury as a whole other than that man could sing. Cause he could. S’all.

  • It was a different time and she was more than likely a wig. Which pending I have my slang right (I’m thinking older school gay stuff where men used to marry women for society and then fuck around with men outside of the marriage) means she is a marriage of convenience. But really as far as I know she was basically his hag, and he loved her deeply. Gay remorse stuff - but sometimes people get tired of being “weird and different” and wish they could just be “normal” and things could just “work they way they were ‘supposed’ to work”. And yeah, he could have been wickedly bisexual. And bisexuals - you have every right to exist (and I think there’s more of you than are accounted for. But honestly, it used to be a constant back in the day and I have met a handful of actual wigs who love their gay ass husbands but understand that theirs are a marriage of convenience. At least, the majority of them do.

(p.s. - My gal and I actually think Robert Preston might have been bisexual. But only he *and anyone he slept with if he did sleep with both sides* would ever know. But he for sure was a swell advocate none-the-less. And I don’t think being a song and dance man instantly makes you a sister. Likewise, he might just understand the idea of loving a man and a woman on equal terms as I always joke sexuality ends up having nothing to do with who you could fuck but more so who you could love. But that’s my hot take. Also those two guys from ROPE(!) that Hitchcock flick were gay as hell. And I think they were billed as bisexual. And I think Hitchcock was probably of the lifestyle too, but eh. Who knows?)

(p.p.s. - Oh shit wifey said wigs is for dykes and beards is for gays. Hahahaha! She laughed her ass off at me =P!)
