Give Vintage Story a shot. It’s Minecraft as a survival game and much more than that.
Looks beautiful too.

If looking from top left to right my favourites are 3,4 and 6.
RDR2 on Steam Deck. I never got far when I originally played it on my PC a few years ago and have been itching to play it again for the last few weeks.
Started a new game and so far it’s running really good.
Work and IRL stuff does not leave me with a lot of hours to game, but I did manage to put in a good few hours.
Playing this on the PSX was such a unforgettable experience. The soundtrack is a banger to this day, level design was interesting and made me want to push further.
I don’t have my SD with me now, but from what I remember I just used either an official control scheme or user customized one.
Handheld, I don’t use the SD docked.
What an enchanting game this is. I’ve never made it that far but the world building is simply superb. Recently started playing it again on my Steam Deck and it plays wonderfully.
Live and drink friend!
Been using it for years now. Such a fantastic and straight to the point tool, that still has all of the functionality one might need.
CherryTree is one of those apps that is very likely never goong to be removed from my devices.
For people that have bought into early access, are you finding the content so far enjoyable? A tough question I know, since barely a part of it is out.
Still have my Rise of Nations CD somewhere. I loved games like Civilization, don’t even remember how I stumbled upon RoN, a really great game.
I used to watch a streamer play My Summer Car whenever I could. I love the games that are just their own thing.
Looks fantastic. I need to get myself another mechanical keyboard down the line, had to sell the current one as I was not using it at all (due to a laptop becoming my main rig).
KDE + Latte dock is what I use. Very simple and minimalistic setup with no widgets.
What’s not to like about a device sporting a 5 year old CPU paired with a 720p display and 4GB of RAM costing 2.2k usd?
Avoid Manjaro and use something like Endeavour OS if you want an Arch based distro.
I’ve used Manjaro in the past and had tons of issues with it. The distro itself is Arch based but does not follow the same update philosophy.
Updates are stalled to apparently test for any potential conflicts, except it seems that they do not do any testing at all and just hold back on updates and cause more issues by doing that (ie package dependancy lagging behind)
Not to mention all the drama and shady stuff that was and is going on with Manjaro, I would not recommend that distro to anyone.
I’ve also used Mint, Kubunutu, Pop… and even Garuda on various desktops and laptops and never run into any game braking issues upon initial installation.
Voat attracted quite a number of people that were on the extreme end of things.
Very similar story here, got a ring that we liked and laughed our asses off on the thought of spending thousands on a shiny rock.
A custom that’s not really a custom that needs to die out.
Have not seen anyone mention one of the best rogue like games out there, Tales of Maj’Eyal
Base game is free to download and play from their website. Massive world, tons of loot, an incredible number of classes and abilities to combine, it’s such a fantastic game that also has native Linux support.
I feel like this gem of a game has pretty much been forgotten. Never expected to see someone mention it. Very atmospheric and one of my favorite walking simulator games.
