“Sorry, it’s just that… I already have three friends”
OoooooOOOoooohhhh…Look at mister popular over here.
Ooohh that’s neat. My uncle spends far too much time on Facebook market place. Came across a “broken” saw mill $600 if you come pick it up. He lives on some property so he brought it home, put it all together, nothing was actually broken. He built the majority of his house from trees he’s milled himself.
Very cool write up! Love the coffee table.
Thank you!
Nice. I’ve been doing it freehand on a log I have, and the going is slow. I haven’t seen that adapter before, but I think I will get it to finish.
I find that I’m wore out before my batteries are all dead, so an electric saw isn’t the limitation you think it would be.
I have some logs in my yard that I need to do. This too. Thanks for giving me some ideas on a super basic jig. And I’ll be using my electric Makita for this and I haven’t yet bought sharpening tools for that. So thanks for the reminder.
I know my Stihl is probably the better choice but that thing is temperamental.
we are ants wittling twigs
Thanks for that hint of the jig. All I’ve seen before are to expensive for the little is use it. That works for me and in no time I had a few boards cut that have been waiting on me getting energy for a while. I didn’t finish but only because my chainsaw oiler stopped working again. (Probably blogged with sawdust)
For anyone trying this, the jig he has in the blog is cheap and works well. Much faster\easier than freehand.
Glad to hear that worked out!
