Looking for something physical? Try Disc Golf! Most courses are free to play and you probably have one at a public park near you. See https://dgcoursereview.com for lists and maps.
Same basic rules as normal “ball” golf apply: throw a disc (basically a frisbee) from a tee to a basket in as few throws as possible. A normal cheap frisbee you already have might work OK on a small short course, but just like golf clubs there are disc versions of putters, mid range, and drivers, including ones that are more likely to “turn” to the right (if you throw righty backhand) or “fade” left at the end of the flight.
I’d recommend picking up a starter pack from Innova or Discraft (two of the big disc golf brands) which can be had for about $20 on Amazon, or buy individual discs on discgolfcenter.com or a local store that sells them so you can get some tips and tricks for playing. The starter pack usually has lighter weight discs that are easier to throw. They are also generally “slower” and “float” more. Don’t believe the marketing about “super fast long range drivers” - they only go farther if you have the arm speed to throw them properly, and if you don’t you will probably throw your mid range or fairway driver further, so start with those discs for now.
Also search for local clubs in your area. Despite the reputation for DG players being stoners and hippies (lots of us are! 😉), we are also a generally friendly and helpful crowd. Find out when a club is meeting for a friendly round or family night (or maybe even a paid tourney), or ask at a local shop that carries discs if they know when and where the club is playing. Show up, find someone who looks old and in charge 🤣 and introduce yourself and tell them honestly you’ve never played and show them your discs and ask them if you can join. They’ll probably invite you into a group. If you find a group playing doubles or “Captain’s Choice” that’s even better - you and your partner both get to throw, and you take the best shot (probably your partner’s) and you won’t get as frustrated at 50-60 terrible throws as you would at 100 terrible throws playing by yourself.
Remind them you’ve never played and ask for help for everything, from what disc to throw to how to throw it. Most importantly, TAKE CRITICISM AND ADVICE WITH A SMILE. That old guy may not be amazing, and he may sound gruff, but when he suggests a different stance or disc, he’s got your best interest at heart. Maybe what you were about to do might work, but he know percentages and that a different shot will more likely work better. Or maybe he knows from experience you’re going to destroy your knees or elbows with a certain form, and you can get by with it as a teenager but you’ll regret those decisions in 20 years.
Once you get practice at the course a little bit, you won’t even need to go and play rounds all the time. A local empty football or soccer field or an empty lot can make a great driving range for practice. Tie some rope around a tree in the back yard about the distance between the bands of a disc golf basket and now you have a place to practice putting. If it’s raining and you have a big garage or open room, you can buy a collapsible indoor basket to practice putting or you could even aim at a piece of paper or pie plate taped to the back of the couch.
Finally, just have FUN! Disc golf will be super fun when you have low expectations. As you finally start to figure it out again couple of rounds you’ll get some beginner’s luck, then you’ll try to replicate that and get super frustrated. Just chill and remember: you’re still a beginner and I’ve played for 15 years and still can’t shoot under par consistently. 😂
install stable diffusion and create some nice images
ive actually tried to but my pc is too low end that it freezes my pc when installing.
you can run it on google colab
Let me tell you, if your interests keep changing and you’re easily bored, you’ll get bored of every new hobby you find. Thing is, boredom is inevitable even when we do things that are pleasurable, so you might as well find something you actually like and “elevate” yourself in some way (be it physical, intellectual, emotional, spiritual, you name it).
I’m a psychology student and I love what I study. Is is fun? No. Do I get bored often? Hell yeah. But god I love doing it, because at the end of the day I feel enriched and with a new perspective on the world. Every single time I decide to persevere through difficult or boring material instead of booting up a game or watching YouTube I feel so much more myself.
And mind you, I’m terrible at this. I struggle so much to keep myself from getting into the hyperstimulation rabbit-hole, and I often spend whole afternoons jumping from one thing to the other (not necessarly games/social media, often I keep jumping between books and articles and projects every 10 minutes without ever finishing anything), but it’s a process.
That said, I would suggest someting like music production. You can get as wild as you want with technicalities but it’s also creative. I recently discovered Pure Data and it scratched that itch of both doing something creative and learning something technical.
Whatever you choose, embrace the boredom! It’s part of everyone, it’s part of life. The hardest thing is getting started (e.g. I stayed up late to work on a new hobby and the next day I have no desire to get back to it, but as soon as I start doing it again for as long as ten minutes I’m absorbed again), often you’ll fail but it’s not a race. You could also get back to an hobby you started a while back but approach it from a different perspective (for me Pure Data did it with music production and coding), so that you’re not overwhelmed but don’t have that feeling of “already seen” neither.
On a side note, mandatory “are you seeking professional help” question. If you’re not, start doing it. If you already are, good job! It can feel slow at times, maybe you keep talking about the same thing (or change topic everytime) and feel like you’re not making progress, but it will yield its result in the long run!
Good luck with everything man! I know you’ll get something out of this situation :)
In my experience, boredom chases creativity! The more bored I am, the more creative ways I find to entertain myself!
Have you thought about digital media, either making music, pictures, or videos? You can get free software to start out so it has no cost in time or money. It also allows you pretty much infinite progression because you’ll be getting better every time.
can i hav eosme examples of digital media.
i have been wanting to becaome a streamer or youtube for fun or make a movie but idk that seems hard and how do i stat the things you said.
Here’s a song I made for a sample challenge with a group of friends. Music production has been one of the few hobbies I’ve maintained for forever. I started mucking around with Fruityloops when I was 13, I’m now 37. And while what I make isn’t for everyone, it doesn’t need to be. It helps me when I’m going through tough times, when I’m depressed or bored. Just making music keeps me going, even if other people think it’s a bit shit.
There’s loads of DAWs(Digital Audio Workstations) available for free, as a demo or a limited version without all the bells and whistles.
Making a movie can be hard, but remember that you don’t need to be good at it right away, and you’ll get there if you work on it. And start small. You can stream playing games for a while, and then figure out a more complicated setup as you go. Same with YouTube, you can start with simple videos and minimal editing, and add more stuff going forward. Does that make sense?
When I said digital media, I meant making songs, movies, or pictures. I suggested that because you don’t need to go buy a lot of equipment and materials.
You could try learning a programming language and helping with some open source software projects (or start your own). I would recommend Rust since it has very good tooling which cuts down on the tedious bits and it is a very well liked and used language (Lemmy is written in Rust as well).
ive tried but i just cant no matter how hard i try i cant and games interest me more like gamedev and such but i litteraly cant code.
There are some game engines where you can make a game without needing to write code, you can do the programming with ‘blocks’. Some smalltime devs are actually making impressive games this way.
Some options are Game Maker Studio, GDevelop or Buildbox.
Btw, just make some 2D games to start. You can do 3D once you have some experience, but 2D is easier for beginners.
In the beginning you can just follow the tutorials, and after a while you will know enough to make your own game.
Become obsessed with privacy and security. I lost all my friends bc I spend so much time on it
so you spend money on protecting your privacy like vpn’s or home security
I do spend money on a VPN but pretty much everything else is free. You just have to learn how to do it. VPN is like step 0 in the privacy journey (and completely unrelated to security)
You could moderate your very own community!
I got a baritone ukulele yesterday and now I think everyone should have one.

Building with LEGO can be fun, but obviously buying tons of sets costs a lot of money and displaying them takes up a lot of space.
A nice alternative is using BrickLink Studio. This software lets you build LEGO creations using a 3D CAD-style software. You can not only build creations, but can generate photorealistic images. Here’s a recent virtual build of mine:
You can upload your creations to Rebrickable.com and download other people’s creations.
If you really want to build your creation, you can upload the parts list to BrickLink and buy new or used pieces. Obviously, this last part takes real money, but buying used pieces can bring down the cost.

My spanish ain’t that good but I agree with what you said. I just don’t get why answer in spanish to a question written in english?
Because of the usual assumption that most people can understand it, which isn’t usually the case.
