doesn’t have to be anything special. can be online or in real life.

mine is slowroads.io. very relaxing to just stroll around sometimes. i have it bookmarked on my sidebar when i need to decompress and don’t want to boot up a game

finally captured a photo of my dog that looks just like the mom from beetlejuice. she does this every time she yawns, and it always cracks me up.

for reference, this is the scene:

yesterday when I was walking the dog a kid came up to us & he was so excited to see him. he asked if he could pet him & play with him & I said yeah, & he smiled so wide it looked like it made his entire day. wholesome shit :)

Honestly dogowners like you are great! I often find myself cooing over dogs and I love when the owners are happy to share in the joy.

aw, I love funny pet names like that lol. one of our dogs is named bear even though he’s small & skinny as a twig, & sometimes people will just comment “he doesn’t look like a bear” & we’ll answer “we named him after teddy bears, not the big ones”. always gets a laugh

Ducklings. She wouldn’t let me start clearing the broken eggs yet, and there are a few more that might still be viable, but there are about fifteen in that cuddle puddle.

Zoom meeting. Manager’s husband trying to crawl behind her out of the camera’s view. He didn’t quite make it obviously. The manager was reading something so she didn’t notice everyone trying not to bust up laughing. Never thought I’d see one of those “zoom events” in the wild, but there it was.

I just started a new job teaching and I overheard one of the students say to my boss that I was one of the best teachers they’d ever had. I nearly cried. It means the world to me. I feel like I’ve been a square peg in a round hole for years in my various jobs and now I’m finally doing something that fits.

The little moth buddy I posted about was really fun. There’s been a surprising amount of interesting bugs where I’ve been working the past couple weeks, last night one of my coworkers spotted something that looked like a cross between a spider and a cricket, which I’ve yet to be able to identify.

I randomly messaged a former colleague who I haven’t talked to in 7 years, which is not the kind of thing I normally do, and I got an excited reply a day later.

I was walking into town the other day and saw the tiniest, cutest little sausage dog that was so happy to see everyone.

It makes my heart melt 💜

The weather. It’s been storming a lot where i live, and very misty. That kind of thing does something good to my brain.

Thank you for sharing that link! I like the low res trees.

I finished a little soapstone eagle carving kit my daughter bought me. It’s nothing much at all, but it was sweet that she thought of me and I like how it turned out.

Took a walk to the local farmer’s market on Sunday, was a beautiful day, got myself some veggies to make a delicious gazpacho that is still feeding my partner and I a couple days later. It was/is lovely!
