    Rugrats is a really strong depiction of realistic family dynamics. Lots of interesting stuff in the background. Also one of the best representations of a modern American Jewish family on television, I grew up in a mixed-faith situation as well and the Pickles felt incredibly relatable.

      whats funny is the grandparents had to be taken off tv because people found them offensive…

      they were literally modeled and acted like the creaters own grandparents

      I grew up in a rural southern baptist community with zero Jewish kids, Rugrats was literally my first introduction to Judaism that wasn’t through an evangelical Christian lens. So I’m glad that it wasn’t a terrible representation!
