The worst part about the healthcare in America situation is how easy it would be to take 90% of the pressure off while not inherently changing the system, THEY JUST WONT.
I’m not even talking about life saving drugs and chronic conditions requiring specialists. If they can do it in a bush clinic in Uganda it shouldnt be expensive. If someone can set and plaster a broken arm in a tent with a folding table it shouldnt cost $5000 in a modern hospital. Your kid falling off their bike and needing an Xray should not be expensive. Going to a GP to confirm that “Yeah bro, your just sick” so you dont get fired SHOULDNT BE A THING let alone cost more than you would have made at work that day.
