You’re dancing around the issue and I can’t tell for sure if it’s because you never get to this point in the conversation, or if you legitimately don’t know. You’ve been told to not like something and you’re following through on that, but it’s clear you just can’t fit the parts together. Why would being a blood-parent allow you to send your ideals forward, yet being an adoptive parent, or an uncle, or just a member of the community wouldn’t allow it? Do you feel your parents chose who you are, and how you think, and that you’ll do the same for your kids?
