I knew his special was bad, but I had no idea just how bad.

Personally I think he’s a terrible interviewer. It always depended on the guest. Otherwise he’ll start talking about himself.

Hits the nail on the head. I liked that he had on fringe interesting people along side some comedians I liked on his podcasts. You’d go from Joey Diaz and Tom segura clowning on people to Paul stammets talking about mushroom wizardry. The only factor Joe brought was the platform. Joe Rogan was always the least interesting part of the Joe Rogan show.

The creator of the video pointed out one good joke in the special, and sure enough - it’s about himself lol. So yeah, even when he manages to be funny on purpose he’s still the joke.

It was worth it. I appreciate deadpan delivery. I recommend checking it out. Joe looks like a burnt-out husk.

I’m probably in the minority on Lemmy, but I really enjoyed his first stand-up show. At least I think it was the first. The one where he talks about astronauts, and the pyramids. It’s hard to reconcile who he is now with who he was then.

Rogan and crew were funny until about 2014. The Rogan forums, Joe Show videos, early podcasts and interviews were unlike anything out there.
