I am from FL and just moved to MN last year and it was similar for me. Snow doesn’t feel or behave like I thought it would based on TV/movies.

I have used mini PCs as a servers for years with file serving being a major duty of them. Granted my storage needs aren’t excessive, but most NUCs or Nuc-likes can hold two drives, some can have a third if you include 2.5" drives. My AsRock A300 can hold 4 drives (two of each), but its m.2 support sucks so that’s not as much of a boon as it sounds. If you need significant storage, there is no replacement for something that can hold 3.5" drives though since those can now reach 20+ GB a drive.

When they ban toilet paper, we’ll just communicate using the three sea shells. They can’t stop us!

I received a Christmas bonus a single time at my last company after I was promoted to a higher salaried position. The next year they changed it so that only senior directors and above were getting bonuses.

I’d claim MGS1 may simply be the best game released on PS1 over all, but I am not sure I can objectively say it’s the best of the series. Every main line game in the series that followed has some legit reasons to possibly claim they are better (I’m give a slight edge to 3 or maybe V personally). And which game did I play the most? Metal Gear for the NES, the flawed thing that it is was just go fun once you got good at it, like all the Metal Gear games.

I mean, nanomachines are part of several of the games once the retcon in MSG4 kicked in. Nanomachines for everyone!

The X-men game on game gear was also quite decent.

I go with scenario 1 because it radically reduces the ways I can screw things up for myself.

I had a pet cow growing up named Softy. We got him at a rural fair and because he looked frail and my stepmom felt in love with him. He just hung out with our dogs and pretty much through he WAS a dog. He played fetch, but didn’t know what to do with the tennis ball when he’d get it.

A couple of years later we realized to our horror that he was now a gigantic bull that wanted nothing more than to murder us for some reason. We gave him his own little pasture because he couldn’t be trusted around the dogs or the house anymore. He ended up getting stolen one night after we had repeated refused requests to sell him to some guys that wanted to butcher him. RIP Softy you murderous beast. :(

Clearly an AI photo, and at first I thought “Well, of course only AI would be dumb enough to do this.”, but then I remembered I grew up in Florida and realized civilization was a mistake.

It’s in my top three PS1 games personally, so I agree, but this list is full of interesting biases.

I love seeing Xenogears so high on this list.

I had to give up my retro game collection when I moved and I realized how long overdue it was. I hope someone out there is enjoying my old consoles and games.

The headline about this from another news site is definitely better “Clown School Student Who Tried to Smuggle Gold-Plated Pistol into Australia Claims Google Said It Was ‘OK’”. The more details I read about this story, the crazier it gets. This clown school student is from Florida (of course she is), and she previously had multiple guns but accidentally left them in her donation box. I hope it wasn’t a Toys for Tots donation, but at this point who knows.

I’ve used a bunch of different solutions over the years, but currently I just run Gerbera and it streams my local library to my TVs because of the sheer ease. It’s not perfect, fast forward and rewind can be iffy to get working with some configurations, but otherwise it has been a smooth experience.
