If you use yt-dlp you can save your subscriptions in a text file and download all their latest vids on a schedule.

Easy enough ChatGPT can write you this script and you may also find examples online.

If not directly useful for you, i am also putting this down for others. Do not let a monopoly dictate what is “the normal way” to do things.

  • On the contrary, given the premise its a smart observation from an unknownledged person.

“Wifi is waves in the air” is very very wrong but as it appears it’s what this person was thought to believe. Given that they trust this information the conclusion makes perfect sense.

The only “dumb” here is whoever explain wifi like this to them.

So what the post really amounts to is. “I applied actual reasoning to the information i was provided as fact and my conclusion seemed strange, so i will ask on no stupid questions to figure out whats really going on”

More intelligent than the majority of internet users.

  • Story time…

It was the paperwork for me. The last year in school i actually voted against going to a fieldtrip, apparently it was a rhetorical vote, people where very confused i was so demotivated.

I love learning new things but i am very self motivated and have no control over concentration, so out in the field with all those impulses i will be learning in an explorative way but not perse the things my school tried to focus on. Especially hard for me was the dreaded bundle. The papers we where all given and would be graded on later.

I was always to distracted learning on my own i always missed the key information. I had tried many strategies but the last one earlier that year “organized group effort with duos responsible for different sections of the bundle” was shot down mid trip by our head teacher who was the same teacher did the rhetorical vote if we wanted to see go somewhere or stay at school.

So yeah the joy was pretty much beaten out of me by repeated low grades and by that same head teacher “detention to find the answers online for the past trip or i would have basically no grade.” which i knew in advance was impossible, i had tried to do exactly that before we had gone.

  • I would like to see lemmy experiment with alternative ratios.

Sometimes i would like to see is ranked by “scrolled by/liked” ratio but it might be tricky to get a reliable counter.

More feasible may be a votes/subscribers ratio which would be higher if majority of a smaller space liked it but also could give exponential score if non subscribers start upvoting.

  • No i have mentioned i find this sort of behaviour immoral, especially considering this is about child support. the discussion is whether any statement was a lie and therefore illegal.

It is my take that the system of law is broken in a way that makes such immoral loopholes possible. I believe the fact that such things are possible is a worse problem then the individual cases where people exploit such.

I didn’t know whether or not the boss or employee planned it in advance. Which is what i meant with i wasn’t a fly. All i know is a headline triggering my dissatisfaction with the legal system.

  • I was not a fly in this court but seems like there is no reason to assume they lied about anything.

They where factually unemployed at the time of hearing.

They have the right to remain silent and not incriminate themselves about any potential rehiring.

It could also be setup by the boss without employee awareness, a excuse to rehire them after their business suffers (i fired you for your own good but i couldn’t tell you to not influence the legal system)

  • Depends, is this illegal? Did the employee know they where going to get rehired during the trial. Was it a lie to state they where not employed?

I feel this is morally wrong but not quite punishable. If annything the system is broken for allowing such loophole. Either they owe a part of their income or they don’t. That part can be “zero” bur current employment shouldn’t be part of that calculation.

  • Your anonymity will only hold until you have pissed of someone dedicated to track you down.

And some people do not need much information to do just that. Stories online include finding a location based on the reflection in someones eye or finding a address in London based on a single picture of the window taken from the inside.

Of course you can just not post real pictures and be careful with any details but just the topics you talk on and the hours you are active can give you away.

In the end it doesn’t matter how much actual effort you put in obscuring your real identity, one slip up being found is enough to get the ball rolling. And if people hate you they will gladly keep it rolling.
