Solid state batteries solve the temperature problem and are already being practically applied for cars. The History > 2020-Present section of this article shows well how much global interest lies is in these.
If the trend in battery tech advancements continues or even if it slightly slows down, by 2035 we will have batteries that are twice as dense, charge twice as fast and cost half as much. Batteries are the only limiting factor to go full steam on renewables and every country in the world that can afford it is currently researching battery tech. It will be fine.
Good job it made me angry just reading it. Thank you for this shitpost :)
das a dead link for me. just forwards to the main page

Stop being so easily outraged, it outrages me.
Is that Ricardo Milos?
I didnt even consider the possibility that they werent using an adblocker. How does one live without it?
Oh yeah absolutely, i didnt mean it that way. I meant that its sad that its produced with netflix because its a shit company. But its actually in cooperation with the BBC and it will air there first. So yeah it will be “available” for free in HD on day one.
Just saw the trailer for her new netflix show. Sad that its netflix but glad that shes giving us more quality shitpost material.
Thicc snowman. They didnt even ask him anything, they just destroyed his existence. Fuckin murderers.
Same, its a good one
This feels like preperation for enforcing backdoored chat apps to me. The EU has been pushing for this for years now and eventually it will happen. When the time comes it will most likely come with laws that force google to make sideloading impossible to prevent people from using backdoor free apps.
All while other parts of the EU are actively supporting sideloading and FOSS. Its such a clown world we live in.
Post-WWII is not a low point for colonialism.
I was thinking creating new colonies, not maintaining existing ones. Ofcourse dismantling colonial government structures is also important, but arguably not creating new ones is the most important first step. Just pulling out all presence from all colonies over night would have most likely been disastrous for the natives too in most cases. But yeah the West definitely overstayed for far too long in many areas of the world and still does to this day.
who were the people that did not frown upon it then
The fellow colonizers… yeah that was worded badly. But i think you know what i mean. Back then maybe other European countries were jealous of other colonizers, but they didnt really see it as a bad thing to be colonizers. Now even the ex-colonizers see it as a bad thing and when countries do it, they get called out for it. Russia, China, USA, Israel, etc
Its the same as with oil and coal dependency. Yes the West disproportionally profited from those historically, and we can think about compensation etc, but in the end its in everyones interest to just stop using it and bully anyone that doesnt reduce their usage of it.
If the walls conduct vibrations well enough it could be the directly adjacent room above.
Its too realistic tho
It comes from a time where your whole family lived in the same house and the kids eventually take care of their parents. In todays system where people usually dont live with their parents for very long, it doesnt really make sense anymore. People need money long before they get to the age where their parents die. Getting a bunch of money at 30, to establish a life/family, is much more useful and long term impactful than getting it at 50-60. So inheritance is a flawed idea from the start.
