Corporations steal $1 billion and pay a $100k fine and there’s a lesson there. The profit margins of outright corporate theft far exceed everything else. Who said “Crime Doesn’t Pay”?

I’ve been seeing more and more reports and videos of grocery stores (and Walmart in particular) systematically stealing from their customers by falsifying the weights of their meats, sometimes delivering half the product they’re charging us for.

This article is a few months old, but the corporate thievery goes on and the corporation can be easily stealing a billion plus dollars from their customers each year. The reports of this practice go back years.

The numbers are staggering. Walmart has 260 million customers per week visit their stores. If they overcharge 1/10th of their weekly customers just $1 that works out to $1.35 billion dollars per year of outright corporate theft. The only reason this is becoming known isn’t the MSM or consumer protection agencies, people are making videos of the products Walmart has mislabeled.

Since there is no enforcement of existing laws other corporations are doing the same thing. Other videos show packaged products like sugar actually weighing much less than their labeled amount.

Instead of connecting via your external IP, consider setting up DDNS (Dynamic DNS). Most routers support it out of the box, it’s free (using a DDNS service like DuckDNS) and easy to set up. Once working you’ll connect via a static URL rather than an IP and when your external IP address changes, that URL will update automatically within a few minutes and direct you to the new IP.

Nero isn’t just fiddling while Rome burns, he and his ilk are smearing shit on the walls and actually lighting more fires.

People are naturally stressed, upset and angry, and it’s again showing up in our driving.

Roku, Android TV (ONN), Apple TV, etc. all have Hoopla support. The app doesn’t even have a way to browse titles, but if you know what you want to watch their app works.

It seems to vary depending on where you live. In SoCal I haven’t noticed many Audi and Altima drivers causing issues, but late model Camry drivers can be aggressive as hell. Camry drivers use to be the most relaxed, sedate drivers around but no more.

Around here BMW’s aren’t nearly as bad as black pickups.

I’ve been looking at car ads and noticed black cars are listed as salvaged much more often than other colors. Yes, there are a lot of black cars on the road, but it didn’t seem to be nearly enough to explain the number of salvaged vehicles being advertised.

At least one study confirms that black cars do have more accidents, and far more accidents at dusk.

Would it still be terrorism if the technologies being developed makes subsonic travel more efficient?

Efficiency per passenger mile is the big question. I’ll probably be worse than subsonic aircraft, but I’d guess that some of the technologies that make SS travel possible may make subsonic travel more efficient.

We used to go weekly for groceries and spent hundreds per month, but have been consciously changing our buying habits for a couple of years. We’ve now got it down to once every 6 weeks or so for things we can’t easily find elsewhere. At today’s prices we’d probably be spending $450 per month, instead we’re spending about $15, if that.
