No, but in the area we were in at the time it was mainly flat-bottomed aluminum boats. All of them were similar sizes, so pretty generic plugs.

Grandpa always had 3-5 in the glovebox of his truck. One would always get left somewhere or someone at the boat launch would be swearing about missing theirs and he’d give them one. Just one of those things you have to keep around.

It is considered spam if it’s a copy/paste of the same message that continues to get deleted. This kind of thing would have been deleted on a basic forum. They were posting how to get around porn blocks, not asking for addiction resources.
I appreciate the effort. I had an addiction and it took me several years to get out of it without all of the resources we have today. Just understand how the internet is working. Post where people ask, and if it’s deleted like this, don’t be too surprised.
Your heart may be in the right place but remember:
Don’t give what is holy to dogs or toss your pearls before pigs, or they will trample them under their feet, turn, and tear you to pieces.
Welcome to the internet, where one thing you do not speak against is Porn or it’s addictive characteristics.
Also, it seems like you kept trying after having your comment deleted. Mods don’t like people attempting to spam the same thing. If your message is removed, take the message and move on, unless you feel like getting blocked like this. Unlike Reddit, there is no oversight on mods here. You can push it up the chain, but you might run into the mod of the community being the mod of the instance as well.
Somewhiteguy@infosec.pubto Do It Yourself@beehaw.org•What is this called? And how can I remove it?9·1 month agoIt’s a rivet, and it can be drilled out, but replacing it with an equivalent joint is going to be difficult. if you don’t use the same material. This looks like a beach chair or some kind of outdoor thing. You might be okay replacing it with something like this: https://www.amazon.com/YORANYO-Assorted-M5-Decorate-Bookbinding/dp/B0B7WMQM97
You may be able to go to a local hardware store and find similar, but in lower quantity and maybe something not as specified for leathercraft/book binding. If you do go that route, put some loctite in the thread so you don’t unscrew yourself accidentally and lose one or more.

If someone steals my work issued, I don’t care at all. We have systems where I can still get my things done and the laptops are encrypted with remote wipe capabilities. Sucks to lose equipment, but whatever. That’s on my boss’ cost center.
Losing my personal laptop is another story. That’s money out of my pocket, investments in upgrades, and the worst part is the sticker hoard on the lid. How am I supposed to re-coup that kind of loss? I don’t even remember where I got all of them, and then the placement. It took weeks for some of them to make the cut and get positioned where you could still see the logo on the front without hindering the others. This would be a travesty.
I do the same with m&m and skittles.
Somewhiteguy@infosec.pubto Mildly Interesting@lemmy.world•This truck stop has a generic cologne dispenser3·6 months agoI find it’s very regional inside of the US. It depends on a few factors, but age, prominance, and locality to a “night-life” tends to be the primary ones I find. I live very rural in Southern US, and it’s hit or miss if I ever smell a guy with cologne, but when I do it’s the guy I know goes out a lot and lives in-town or much older.

This is going to sound condescending and it’s not intended that way, but read a book. Not a fiction, but non-fiction. Biographies that need research, science texts on detailed subjects, psychology with many interpretations, really anything outside of a storybook.
Have fun learning, and this is not a dumb question. You’re on the right track.

Somewhiteguy@infosec.pubto News@lemmy.world•Judge partially strikes down Georgia ban on giving voters food and water in polling lines3424·2 years agoThe problem is that campaigns will use snacks and water to campaign as close to polling places as possible. That’s what the law is trying to prevent, so that there aren’t 15 10’X10’ tents with names emblazoned on top just to garner more votes.
How you solve for that is: No branding or signage beyond “Free Water” or “Free Refreshments” and workers are not allowed to speak to anyone. Just place things on a table. Campaigns can setup tents, refreshments outside of a new buffer, 300 ft. Or, OR, just ban campaigns from setting up tents. If it’s found, they forfeit the election.
But, we all know that legislatures aren’t about making common sense laws.
Update: I appreciate all of the responses. I’ve read up more on this law, and ya’ll are right. The way it’s written, and how it’s communicated are different. I’m leaving my original comment up for clarity. Discourse is good and I appreciate the softer approaches along with some of the more angry of you.
Somewhiteguy@infosec.pubto Mildly Infuriating@lemmy.world•The fact that people this stupid exist33·2 years agoThe best thing for my family was that we were in St Jude with our daughter while the rest of the world lost their minds. I was able to speak directly to Infectious Disease doctors that had nothing to do with anything but researching for cancer patients. They had worked with the original doctors for the Covid vaccine, and how long it had been in development as we learned more about the disease. People were just going off ignorance. Just because you don’t know, doesn’t mean everyone else is trying to lie to you.

I have some guys in my gym that wear very similar. If you have generally free-range of motion, you’ll be fine. Will just be hotter than normal. Walmart has some decent clothes for not a lot of money that you can get a set of and just use that. Nobody at the gym is going to judge you for wearing the same thing every day.
This depends on what you are looking to get done. Each person is there for their own thing, and it depends on their goals. Weight-loss, muscle toning, strength training, socializing…
I don’t do anything on the treadmills or bikes because I structure my weights to do the cardio bits as well. This is just a personal preference because I get bored and zone out during long walks, runs, or rides.
Get a plan together and be consistent with it. I have 3 plans in circulation depending on what my needs and schedule is. Arms, legs, and combination. If I have the time, I’ll do arms Monday, Wednesday, Friday; Legs will happen on Tuesday and Thursday. If I know I can’t get to things on a timely basis because of schedules I’ll do a combination MWF. I’m flexible with my time so I don’t beat myself up for not going.
I could do home workouts just fine, but the cost of equipment is too high and I need the space in the house, which I don’t have. I’d love to get a place that has a finished basement, or unfinished, and have a place to go that doesn’t cost me monthly. The only issue with home workouts is replacing broken or worn equipment. Also, my gym has a row machine that I wouldn’t have access to or money to purchase. Just little things like that. Weights are super expensive for full sets.
If you have the funds, I’d recommend finding a local gym that has a trainer that you can utilize. Even if it’s for just a few sessions to get you going.
Good luck if you decide to get into it. Don’t make it part of your personality and have a goal.
