7·3 months agoIt’s for sure a lot. Maybe the Epa is counting the water that so many Americans spend watering our trademark huge monoculture lawns so they can stay green regardless of drought/heat wave conditions. Some homes have almost industrial scale sprinkler systems just to accomplish this, although I’m not confident even that would get you up to 400 gallons

A lot less on a per capita served basis than it would take to drive all those people that are served by the truck to the place where the food comes from and back again
