Playing Predynastic Egypt, because it’s slow and simple and that’s how I seemingly like my games nowadays. Just wish the camera didn’t fly all over the place when I uncovered a new space. I hated that in Mini Metro, and I hate it here too. My kingdom for a toggle!
I had a Steam Deck and gave it to my partner because it’s gigantic and unwieldy. Just a heads up for the small-handed individuals. The thumb-sticks felt like absolute garbage as well. Hilariously, the biggest thing I can say - is that while the device itself was gigantic - the screen felt relatively small. I decided in the end, to get an old Chromebook and convert it to a Linux based system for all my gaming needs. It’s thin, durable, and has an extremely long battery life. I can see the screen inside and outside. It actually feels lighter than the Deck because the weight is evenly distributed through-out it’s form. I am very happy with it.
I considered the Miyoo Mini+ but figured I would run into a similar issue where I realized that I was no longer a child and that a Gameboy perhaps isn’t the best form factor for an aging gamer. But I think it’s quite portable and it might make a solid system.
It’s so strange. There’s this really large divide happening in America. And I am not even talking about a political one. It’s a huge class one, and you’re either on the side of the fence that doesn’t seem to think much of anything is going on, or you’re drowning every day with something new being thrown at you ever other second. More people are depending on pantries than ever before. If you’ve got time, consider grabbing from a variety of banks over sticking to just one. Could save your life. Other suggestion is grabbing the world’s largest thing of pinto beans and rice (Walmart will ship) and living off of that and a multi-vitamin for as long as you can. Add in some veggies if you can, use the scraps for broth. Best of luck, it looks like folks got your back anyways.
