Hopefully we will move towards a more equitable society, but Fascists also have a track record of exploiting the sort of instability American society has been faced with during this century so far. If we don’t handle this carefully, it could go badly. Which is saying a lot, given the last decade.

It’s still a warning sign that a large number people no longer feel peacefully working within the system can address societal issues.

This is one of many problems with “ACAB” because not every cop is one way or the other.

It’s a statement of what the job entails, whether the individual is a “moral” person off the clock is not relevant.

Reality is that a functioning society needs police officers.

Police are a relatively modern invention, have only been around ~200 years.

Some people just have shitty jobs. That’s not a necessarily a judgement of them as an individual, it just a fact that they have a shitty job.

As someone who never played the games as a kid, I can be more or less impartial in saying that Mario Bros. was probably the gaming industry’s big break.

Civ IV defined my middle school years.

Pleasantly surprised my state (WV) is 3rd.
