3·1 month agoPHEVs do indeed typically have the output of their engines connected to the wheels through the drive train. You’ve described a range extender. Vehicles with a range extender do not have the gas engine connected to the drive train directly.
Correct, solid copper bus bars are also common in certain applications.

6·5 months agoHome Assistant is open source and self-hosted and doesn’t require internet to operate. The z-wave devices connect directly to the device running Home Assistant. If you want Home Assistant to be private it absolutely can be.

It’s a skill. It’s like once you figure out how to make sure everything gets done at the same time then you can start working on cleaning as you go. It’s one of those things that seems obvious if you cook a lot, but impossible if you’re just starting.
