As someone with allergies, it is fucking infuriating. I go by web searches and whether a drink is physically painful nearly immediately.

Are you American? If so, know your rights. Most debt cannot be passed down to surviving children. If the amount of debt exceeds how much their estate is worth, the lenders are not entitled to you paying them. They will try to make you pay, don’t do it! Do not give them even one penny or agree to anything, or you will have then “assumed” the debt and now it is yours.

The exceptions are loans where your name is on them (joint or cosigned iirc) or medical debt in certain states with filial responsibility laws.

What really gets me is that I would try to support businesses that made quality stuff. They either cheapened it, got bought by a larger company (who then cheapened it) or went out of business. At least with things that aren’t food, secondhand is fine when I can find it.

Make those with decent construction so every cough and sneeze isn’t broadcasted to all of your neighbors with good design so it’s disability friendly, and that is the dream right there.

When there are lots of seats available, I leave my stuff on the seat next to me. If no one is likely to need it, it is nice for me because it is more comfortable and doesn’t bother people around me. (Unlike, for instance, taking off my shoes and letting the smell of my sweaty feet disturb people around me.)

When it’s starting to be slim pickings, I put my stuff on my lap.

I’ve never had a problem when I asked politely if I could sit in the seat where someone kept their stuff. It’s just nice to give people the benefit of the doubt for something like this.

If someone singled me out for this, I would wonder to myself why they chose to direct it at me. Did my RBF strike again? Was it just random chance? Is this part of a scam? Are they a bigot? If I’m getting a full rant for something small and easy to resolve, I do question how far the person will go, since their reaction seems disproportionate. Are they going to escalate further? How much further? Is this person going to follow me when I get off at my stop?

It kind of reminds me of a visual bookmark manager.

Some people will use it to gather recipes. They might even group some, like “Thanksgiving dinner ideas” or “new diet.” When you do this, you can even get a little thumbnail that will make it easier to find later.

It’s not limited to recipes. You can link a lot of stuff, like maybe tutorials on how to build a shelving unit. You could put it in a group called “organizing my garage,” along with other stuff you want to do.

You might not even necessarily use it for links, maybe you have an idea for a costume or a picture you want to draw. You can find picture inspiration. Once you find a picture, it can suggest more you might like.

One can of course achieve this type of thing without Pinterest (I do just fine with my own system) but Pinterest does make it very convenient, especially for people that aren’t as tech savvy.

You ever see in the movies, those teen girls and young women with a cork board full of magazine cutouts? That’s a mood board.

You kind of get an idea for something, like “the ideal vacation” and any time you see something that fits that theme for you, you put it on the mood board. When you’re done, you are able to see your details together in a big picture view.

Pinterest is kind of neat because it gives you the convenience of a digital medium.

But if you make an observation and draw it out for a long time, that automatically makes it funny, right?

Oh man I got to try that. I’ve never liked pineapple on any pizza I’ve ever eaten, but this might be good.

When I was young, I wouldn’t have found it acceptable. It doesn’t matter how badly you’re treated, you need to find a peaceful way to resist. It’s something drilled into my and my peers’ skulls since I can remember.

After seeing little progress (but mostly worsening) with polite requests and peaceful protests, I really can’t figure out how it can be unacceptable.

A lot of those kids probably just haven’t gained that wisdom yet.

It’s going to happen to me. When I was homeless, I was a waste to help because I’m doomed. Now that I am decently off with a great career, I am a waste to give anything to, because I have it handled. I have this feeling my parents don’t like me lol.

If that’s the attitude, I don’t think it’s right. If it’s going into a trust or something, to prevent the recipient from harming themselves, I don’t see a problem.

Why go with one large mouse? What if we had a ring, like Saturn, but made of space mice instead of rocks?

Stanley is a brand that makes things like thermal mugs. They were quality and lasted for years, but weren’t designed with looks in mind. They were favored by tradespeople because they’re hard on stuff and it just works. (I knew them for thermal mugs that held coffee.)

For reasons unknown to me, influencers got a hold of Stanley mugs, with a straw and handle. They became very popular. The company now makes them in many different colors and some people decide to collect them.

I had a similar problem… Swimming was good for me, until the “recurring ear infection” nation attacked.

My guess is it tried to make it a link because the beginning exclamation mark is used for linking a community.

After trying and failing to reach them for comment, we finally heard from them. They just told us “whatever, man.”

Oh hell yeah. It would be especially nice too for those to have things like a shared makerspace and tool libraries.
