Depends if you’re just a hedonist, or a sadist, I imagine.

Same. And I’m sick of all these stupid puddles everywhere. It’s like how everything two generations ago looked wrapped in plastic because card makers were shovelling specular lightmaps or whatever.
It’s just the vapid faces of fashion. A bullet point for the investors that’ll impress for a moment, then be forgotten.
Oh wow you just unlocked a previously lost memory!
Given the number of Americans on here it’s now starting to make sense why I keep seeing commenters get snagged on the word “liberal.”
Liberals are not progressive. At least not except incidentally. I think that’s true everywhere…?
Bikeshedding by any other name…
Years.
I don’t usually even start on something unless it’s been swimming in the back burner soup with the other ideas for at least a year. Then when I go to work on it it’s invariably mixed in with other ideas that have been back there waiting for the right moment.
I guess my real answer is that I never give up on an idea. Maybe a decade, realistically? But even then I feel like the spirit of the idea lives on in the soup.
Not even killed, but even just made to think their plundering might have consequences.
No wonder he thought he knew better than doctors - his penmanship was for shit.
You’re just eating Christmas food early though
I’m sorry that sounds so overwhelming. Is there anyone you press into your service to help out? Also potluck is great for these things because then no one has to cook more than one thing.
My partner’s parents just straight up said they’re not hosting anymore because it’s too much work. It’s allowed.
Thanks for sharing that. My family has been a bunch of loners as soon as the kids went their separate ways, but recently we’re experimenting with getting together for the holidays.
It doesn’t exactly come naturally to any of us, but I’m going to try to appreciate the moments while we have them.
Stress.
But every now and then I get a little whiff of the magic dust that other people seem to love. Like watching my partner dress a tree while listening to Frank Sinatra.
I don’t have any of the nostalgia for the effects, but I can put on a jovial kind of tolerance.
I’m building a new nostalgia, so that in a couple decades maybe I’ll really feel it.
Even then they would only become rich from the idea by skimming wages off of the people actually implementing and distributing it.
Nevermind all of the support that goes into a discovery like that. Like look at all the work that went into recent miracle discovery the mRNA vaccine.
Yes! I was trying to explain this at a PoE 2 launch party but no one got it. I know Diablo is likely dated in a lot of ways, but unlike with other entries, I remember actually getting scared while playing it. Like it actually felt like overcoming an ordeal.
Yeah I was specifically thinking of Remedy with Control as a shop that makes good use of the tech to put forward an aesthetic that isn’t just flash and chrome.
But I believe they could make a beautiful game with a Voodoo 2 lol, they’re that good.
