17·18 days agoWe’re at that point and yet has Trump been impeached for denying due process and trying to create a process with ice to deport people without a trial to a foreign prison for life? Or for blatantly ignoring orders from federal courts and the Supreme Court?
Until Trump is in prison or tried for his crimes this article doesn’t sway my opinion at all. Fact is too many loopholes exist in the rule of law in the usa. Only way to fix it is creating a new government with a new constitution. The executive branch as it is has way too much power consolidated. The current form of government cant go on as it is. Especially because of how much money and bribery is now involved.
I dont see this being resolved peacefully. Fascists never go peacefully. NEVER

Your comment is false and really doesn’t help. At all.
Unfortunately the only way to arrest a president is the impeachment process. Which wont happen with a republican super majority. Unless you can get Republicans to grow a spine there is no other legal process to hold the President accountable.
However I’m not sure about those employed by in his administration. But then again if he’s willing to pardon Jan 6th rioters he will definitely pardon people in his administration…

Hitler didn’t become dictator by playing by the rules. Why do you think Trump will?
Hitler burned down the German Congress. Trump will do something similar if he can.
Basically our only hope is if the CIA, FBI, secret service, and us armed forces refuse his orders. Step 1 will be putting his cronies in positions of power and firing anyone who stands up to him.
Our only hope is that they refuse the firing and take over their respective office, that employees are loyal to them and not Trump. Specifically this is most important in the us armed forces among the generals. But then our best case scenario is a civil war.
Civil war or dictatorship is on the horizon and there is no stopping it.

This is partially right but really the issue is non voters. There are a lot of sexist and racist people that won’t vote for a black woman but will vote for a white man.
I really don’t have any hope for humanity. Whether we kill ourselves from global warming or nuclear war it ends with the same result. It’s too depressing to actively worry about. Better to live in the moment and ignore things I can’t control.
Hopefully we will have another election but somehow I think the military and policing agencies will be turned against the general population. The first step will be removing Congress, both senate and house, and using violence to enforce it while restricting free speech and freedom of the press. Then the imprisonment of political dissenters in modern day concentration camps. After the consolidation of power is complete and free speech is truly restricted America as it was will be gone. I expect a civil war during this transition, and while that happens China, Russia, and India will all make moves to expand, with wars erupting throughout the world.
Our only hope is if the military truly believes the oaths they swore, to serve the us constitution. But really I’m not holding out to hope for that.

Just want to say estimates for both no kings and hands off were much higher.
No kings estimated at 13 million and hands off at over 10 million. The estimated amounts on Wikipedia are way under imo.
