  • Bud Spencer also had a seperate thing going with the Piedone series.

After some hungarian duckduck-fu, and I found this:

    La dolce vita

    La ciociara

    Le notti di Cabiria

Alright, this is a fun rabbit hole. So, we have a ton of Fellini movies, 8½ being one I actually heard of (and might even watch one day I have patience for subtitles again). That led me to Marcello Mastroianni, who has an extensive catalogue and seems to be a big thing (he’s also familiar). You might as well look through Sophia Lauren’s earlier works as well.

If newer ones are also in the run, I’d personally recommend La vita è bella, and just generally Roberto Benigni. His segment in Night on Earth is just laugh out loud spectacular.

  • lay a wooden spoon (best material for what we want) diagonally across the top of the pot, directly touching the surface of the water

Wait. Are you holding the wooden spoon all along, or letting it fall into the water? How can you put a wooden spoon across the top of a pot and have it touch the water, without the pot being totally full? I am boggled.

Yeah, but you gotta learn to love the bomb. After they stole my laptop and backup drive (only had 1 backup, silly me), I became disappointed in local storage. When they killed liveleak, I knew the adage ‘the internet remembers’ was hollow and only the short-term memory thrives, if that.

From what I gather, hoarding music, movies and newer tv shows for preservation is unnecessary, but if you come across an old TV casette recording of a broadcast TV show, digitize it and upload it to Anna’s Archive.

Good luck honing your hoarding skills. I too prefer local copies. Who wants to sit through buffering?

Ahhh, now I understand your problem. You’re a datahoarder! Yeah, it kinda sucked to collect media back in the day. In the early 00’s I had a neighbour who collected mp3s - he didn’t care what type of music it was, he just collected 'em. I didn’t understand at the time, but now I see he was a budding archivist.

  • You might have a chance with ryzen master.

I don’t know if your cpu has this option unlocked, but you can tinker with the tdp to give the little ryzen that could some more power. Probably a great way to fry your machine and leave you without.

I did tinker with the linux alternative and it didn’t feel faster (or hotter), so your miles may vary from 0 to holy shit I don’t have a working laptop with a tiny sliver of it being able to boost more maybe? Oh, and if it does work, you will need some special cooling solution.
