Second, try to realize that life is happening to you right now, not something youre preparing for. Monetizing a hobby is LESS valuable than enjoying it, because the whole point of the money would be to buy more enjoyment for your life - only at a worse rate of return.

The interviewer in the referenced clip did actually press Feynman to explain the “why”, which led Feynman into an explanation about how “why” is impossible to completely answer, which is what OP is talking about.
1·18 days agoNah, I don’t think youre in an extreme minority as far as people go. It’s just that the corporations who churn these things out know they can maximize profit by milking it even if it means stepping all over the artistry.
