That book left me longing for more of that same style. Then I picked up the Expanse.
I see what you mean. Here is a link from Australian plumbers. There’s no convention.
It’s not. Coriolis doesn’t have enough effect on such small scale.

Two maps, two perspectives.12·3 months agoWhile I agree about dumping carbon up there, Dubai is Emirates’ hub, so people going from anywhere in Asia to San Francisco and vice-versa have connections flights at Dubai.
Few people have it as a destination. Most passengers will be Asians visiting family in the US or going home from the US.

Now, after what he’s done to the FAA, good luck convincing them to come back. A very stressful, understaffed job… Sure they’ll want to get out of retirement…

childOfMagenta@lemm.eeto World News@lemmy.world•Couple forced to sit next to dead body on plane for 4 hours after woman dies mid-flightEnglish24·4 months agoCover the body, and relocate surrounding passengers, if possible, if you can’t move the body to business class (moving a dead body respectfully is very hard).
Apparently there were free seats elsewhere, the pax should have been offered relocation.
However it’s not clear if the passengers asked. The cabin crew could have been rattled too and forgot.Edit: They apparently asked, I don’t see why they couldn’t move.
