Yeaaaaah, foreshortening is hard.
Steel toe-capped though.
Thanks! The lighting at this life drawing session is pretty flat so the shadows are exaggerated. But this one came out looking decent!
It is! It’s white ink on grey paper, applied with a brush for the blocky bits and a dip pen for the detail work.
Thank you! In the right light this whole city is moody.
Thank you! It’s my first time trying something like this and it came out better than I expected!
This looks fantastic! I’ve recently switched to dip pen too, it’s a lovely thing to work with.
Thank you, I think YOU’RE insanely awesome!
The lady in the portrait is a badass. If she’d been Ahab’s girlfriend, that whale would have been lamp oil before page 50.
Thanks! The sign was quite visibly bent in the reference photo. It hasn’t really come over in the drawing – it just looks like I can’t draw a triangle properly.
This is breathtaking.
Thank you! I’ve had a lot of bad pictures lately so I wanted a quick win. Very pleased with how it came out!
I think it’s unlikely the former US President was posing nude at my life drawing class. But if it was him, then I’m glad I caught something of his impish charm!
Thanks! This is a new style for me, still figuring it out but pleased with what I’ve done so far.
Thank you so much for saying so! I’m really happy with how this one turned out given how it’s not the kind of thing I usually draw.
As for the sharing, I’m just glad I’ve found a nice community here!
Love the expression on his face.
Thank you!
That’s extremely cool.
Thank you! I’m more used to technical pen, so the quality of line with dip pen is really exciting to play with.
Do you make albums/books?
I have no drawers that are not this drawer.
