I mean at this point it seems that English doesn’t do this, but maybe at one point it saw limited use.
Except “naïve”, that still happens. But English is nothing if not wildly inconsistent.

Nerd, truck driver, and kinda creeped that you’re reading this.

Because that’s how it’s spelled.
Spanish uses ü, although relatively rarely. It signifies that you should pronounce the u and not merge it into nearby vowels.

oh no
anyway
ñ is considered a distinct letter from n, (as opposed to being an ‘n’ with an added accent) which i didnt realize
Yep, it’s part of the alphabet. N (enn) then Ñ (ennyay). Also fun fact the alphabet is sometimes called the abecedario which is an amazing term IMO. It’s like a pun with the first four letters. ABCDario
Spanish also uses Ü! But it’s not a letter on its own.

Jesus, making people anti-science whackos is as easy as a spiffy looking site and video huh.
Peach pits aren’t seeds, but they have a seed inside.

We call it that but the whole thing is just a big ol seed

China
Honestly because it seems like a weirdly high percent of others in my generation go to Japan. That makes China the more interesting trip automatically.
Edit: also you’ve already been. You’re only going to get the chance to go so many places in your life. Take the option to do something new.
I once didn’t eat for 14 days. Honestly it wasn’t that bad.
Disclaimer: I was/am obese and had fat for it. And took some salts/vitamins. But no calories. I don’t recommend it. Such behavior can easily cause/worsen eating disorders. Seek medical advice.
Yeah all that’s right but you’re overlooking the fact that “just stop” almost never works. People can know this, rationally. But they still fall into addiction. It takes a more complicated approach than “just stop” most of the time.

I’m no scientist but I’m pretty sure we know enough to say there’s no consciousness at this level. Consciousness as we know it is pretty fragile.
There may be a point if this is scaled up that could be a concern…

Isn’t it lemmus.org not lemmy.org?

You’re not betting, see? You’re buying/investing in a “futures contract” in an open market and there’s no house edge!
TL;DR it’s gambling but structured in a way that evades current regulations.
Hell yeah. My SO loves this especially with lamb.
I usually use this recipe, similarly calling for an iron skillet: https://altonbrown.com/recipes/shepherds-pie/

Well yeah. I doubt the GrapheneOS team would allow anything less.

I mean I guess it depends how squeamish you are.

rip bozo
There is no “just taking orders”. If you are out there and not actively deserting you are agreeing to be willing to die for Israel’s cause.

The Pitt. Not usually a medical show guy but the acting and realism were top notch. Kept me hooked the whole way. Deserved that Emmy for sure.
Quick pitch: Follow an ER team throughout a shift, with each season being one single shift. Every episode is an hour. ER is understaffed like they all are, you bounce from one crisis to the next to the next. There is absolutely no medical situation they will not show uncensored in full.
No, that would make you feel embarazada
