True, but the RnD ain’t cheap. And, if everyone else starts charging (as I am sure they eventually will), Apple will follow.

Genmoji is a waste of space. The image generation is really bad (but then again, most of these platforms are). The writing tools are mediocre. About all that is moderately useful is that Siri seems a little better and processing commands.
If they want to start charging for this, I’m out.
The goal of this is to try and persuade the majority of people that he was reasonable. Right now, they’re scared as there are a lot of people talking about serious change. Social change.
Little, however, will come of it unless it coalesces and drags along the majority into opting out of the system.
Until he was arrested, Mangione was Neo in the Matrix. Now he’s be captured, the Agent Smiths of this world are cleaning up
Came here to say the same. I am 99% sure it’s Viz
Typical Boomer/Conservative move. They enjoy something and then enjoy it even more by telling everyone else they’re not allowed to use it.
I wish the press would stop asking fucking celebrities questions about social issues. They do not represent society and never will.
I suspect about 40% of the population would approve. Our rural population is very similarly aligned with rural Americans, which is why they’re all rooting that that vapid, low impact Trump-alike Polievre who is running essentially unopposed right now. I can see him rolling over if Trump and his good squad came a-knocking.
It’s also possible that Trump watched the first twenty minutes of the movie Canadian Bacon and thought it was his daily brief.
Canada really hasn’t. For some reason, people think the world listens to Canadian opinions. They don’t, but it’s helpful when they parrot the COP party lines. Helps spread the blame if everyone agrees.
The problem is more to do with the politicians willingness to ignore the electorate and instead take corporate money. It’s the same pretty much everywhere.
Until that changes, nothing improves.
She clearly knew what she was talking about
Billionaires have to say that, otherwise poor people would be a drain on their capital assets
Time to tax the rich
I’m sure my Canadian Government will follow this up with a strongly worded letter to the Americans asking if it’s OK if they impose tariffs, too.
This sucks.
However, I am struggling with the fact this doctor looks like the love child of Noam Chomsky and Henry Winkler
this, for multiple reasons
Who doesn’t love a Dirtyburger?
Not to worry. I’m not so naive as to think that is how it will actually play out.
I’m sure like most things under capitalism, smaller companies will be liable, but we’ll bail out the big guys!
Given the high costs of AI, isn’t it reasonable to assume that whomever stands to make a profit is equally liable for it’s outcomes?
Same. I had a brief pause where I wondered what I was missing all these years as an atheist
I know it’s not, but it looks like the Gardner “expressway” in Downtown Toronto, pretty much any time of day.
Autodefenestration is one of my faves. The act of throwing yourself out of a window.
If you’re throwing someone or something out, then it’s just plain defenestration
Stocky is what I’d use
