like i said, my issue is with the title of the video. I’m sick of youtube clickbait and downvote it at every opportunity. stop contributing to the shitty algorithm.
don’t care what the video says, this is an unhelpful shitty headline. If you act defeatist you will be defeated.
VOTE.

cooking at temps high enough to burn food, yes. lower temp cooking like boiling or steaming does not burn food.

Iron deficiency is the most common nutritional deficiency. Supplementing like this is a massive benefit to society in quality of life and reduced healthcare costs, so I would not call people trying to reduce deficiencies kid-hating.

The additives and preservatives are probably worse for me than the toasty bits.
they are not.

a fraction of a percent of a couple preservatives (with wide safety margins) is hardly “chemically laden”. that’s just blatant emotionally charged language to push a naturalist agenda.
Food spoilage is a major issue, we need preservatives (in safe quantities) to keep food safe to eat as long as possible.

The lawsuit is about this research paper by apple engineers where they say they used the Panda 70M training set. It is a collection of publicly sourced video content and the plaintiffs claim their content is in it.

unfortunately he’s decimating green energy in pretty much every other area. especially wind.

just goes to show how people overreact to gas prices. they could have bought a <$25k used EV last year and saved $4k with the EV tax rebate. $4k is equivalent to $33/month over 10 years.

selective editing by OP going on here.
Across 100 products sold in Japan
Industry has used PFAS, long-lasting fluorinated chemicals that resist breakdown, in coatings, packaging, and many water-repellent products.
US FDA banned PFAS use in food packaging in 2024, including for pet foods.
When the team compared estimated intake with European safety benchmarks for people, several products crossed a warning line.
That screening used a hazard quotient, a ratio above one that signals concern, and some averages exceeded that mark.
Critical to understand the difference between “hazard” and “risk” here. A shark in the ocean is potentially very “hazardous”, but the actual “risk” of you being attacked by a shark is extremely low unless you’re in the water around a shark. That’s why the US uses a risk-based approach rather than EU’s hazard-based approach.

so is that.
loading screen, enter room, loading screen, exit room, loading screen, change area, loading screen, etc etc…
the problem for me was taking all of that (which I was fine with), and then adding multiple steps of monotonous space travel in the [change area] part.
It added too much tedium, and also removed one of the best parts of Bethesda RPGs - wandering and exploring between POIs. No enjoying the scenery, navigating the landscape, randomly happening upon easter eggs. Just A to B to C to Z in the most boring way possible.

are they asking mastodon users to boycott discord or reddit? seems to be mostly about just spreading the word about these shitty people because (I assume) the usual escalation channels aren’t workling. what else should they do?

i wish i was lucky enough to have a garage. we had to run a new circuit out to our townhouse parking lot anyway, so at that point we figured might as well make it an L2 charger. now we have 2 EVs and it would be way more of a pain in the ass (or impossible) to trickle charge them. not to mention i just prefer having the cable out as little as possible in a public space. also sucks having to deal with snow/ice freezing the plug to the car.

you really don’t need to use apps to fast charge at most places.

also anyone still using “__masterrace” needs to rebrand already. 2010 edgelord humor.

Thank you for posting this. Taking advantage of severely disabled people for clout and money.
Likewise if you see pets on social media “talking” with boards and buttons, that is also basically Facilitated Communication. If you properly blind the participants the illusion falls apart.
