The German word for squirrel (Eichhörnchen) is hard to pronounce for French and English speakers in different ways.

Though I have to admit squirrel/écureuil is the cooler pair because it seems to me they both derive from the same root but divererged in a way to make them difficult to pronounce for the other one.

Out of German and English, I always found German to be better suited for factual texts (scientific papers and essays, news textbooks, encyclopedias etc.) because it’s less ambiguous and English for more creative writing (novels, poems, opinion pieces, speeches etc.) because there is more scope for the imagination and the ambiguity leaves more room for double entendres, puns and other fun stuff. There are advantages to both.

Capitalisation also makes skimming texts so much easier and faster since you can just jump from noun to noun until you find something relevant. I wish more languages would do it.

Probably, because it would put you in a group with other Australians and I’m sure they take any data they can get that can be used for localisation into account since preferences are influenced by location. But being in that group would only give you more Australian accents if that is something the data shows the group is into.

IDNWFP (I do not work for Pornhub) but usually such algorithms are not that explicit. They don’t create rules and then come up with an algorithm to match these rules. They throw in a lot of data, do some statistics and then end up with a black box that makes the numbers go brrrrrr. So the answer is likely that Australians will get more porn with Australian accents if that is something a group the algorithm put them into likes.

But from anecdotal evidence in my acquaintance, most men are very opposed to this idea. So if the woman wants a family name she has to change her name or have endless fights about it. Yeah, the two measurements are really not enough to fit all the different boob shapes. And just offering different shapes with the same two measurements leads to problems for those who otherwise could rely on the two alone.

I have that problem with trousers where one measurement for width is not enough to fit both my waist and my hips. With bras it’s just that apparently you can’t have more than B or at maximum C if your underbust is 28/30. According to companies at least.

Only knowing your cup size is not enough. You need to know the underbust size as well. A 32D and a 34C have cups with the same volume. Sure, there is still some variance but not as much as I thought before I learned that.

Edit: This calculator and the community of the same name on the-site-that-shall-not-be-named helped me a lot in finding my actual bra size. Now my only problem is that almost no company here has more than two or three bras in that size…

I think I remember some years ago a zoo fed a dead giraffe to the lions and people went absolutely insane about it. I’m not sure about the details anymore, they might have killed it because there wasn’t enough room in the zoo for it? Either way I didn’t get it, what do they think the lions are fed any other day? Animals that weren’t killed explicitly to become food? Some cows that couldn’t bear existence on this world anymore and offered themselves as lion food? Where is the difference?

I also hate discussions with people who miss my point and argue against things I never claimed.
