I once did a round trip between O’hare and Austin for less than $99 in total.

It was my goto. And if I still lived in the states I’d still be using it.

I did last year, it lasted days, if not a week. I eventually took some toe nail clipers(sterilized them) and cut out a layer of skin.

Scratched that itch.

Unfortunately I haven’t been to therapy since I twas in my teens, admittedly it was for many years. I’m in my early 30’s now. All I really remember were basic self care, and trying not to blame the illness but having a construive and solution mindset.

I can go into more details about myself if you want, but to answer your question about what I do.

There’s not much I can do about it once I’m in the spiral, going for a walk on a sunny day seemed to help once. As well as activity fighting it mentality, but the results for that are dubious.

I’ve been making an effort to be kinder and healthier to myself. Actively trying to avoid negative language and use more positive words and meaning. I’m hoping with more exercise and posative thoughts, I’ll be able to let go of my self loathing and whatever else is holding me back.

I noticed I have a deppressive episode about once a week for about two years, and I started journalling in hopes of identifying any triggers for these apparently ransom episodes. Along with that trying to identify things that can actually make me feel happy. My goal is too find real joy in my life, something I haven’t felt in a very long time and I don’t think I could even recognize if I do find it.

I’m putting alot of effort into learning more about myself, in the hopes to become a better person for my wife and daughter.

I know my motivation should be for myself, but I’m honestly just not there yet.

I’ve heard mostly bad things about southern baptists, so I understand why the chrome os. I’m unsure of the relations of baptists and southern baptists.

Evangelicals are typically traditional, very conservative, and proud. I thats a play on the arch user of doing everything in the command line and letting everyone know.

Orthodox is has some nuonsed diffrences to Catholic, but is under a different hierarchy. Not sure how that relates to slackware

The bottem row are all non Christian, so they are aptly not linux.

Hope for the generation, that’s tough. I think they’ll get through it,though I don’t have a real clue how. I think things are going to get worse before they get better, but it’ll be an “out of the darkness and into the light” kind of thing.

And on a more personal note, I think my daughter will cope well with the world. She reads the most in her grade, last I heard. Her exposure to the algorithms is minimal and we are teaching her to be warry of ai. Sure she gets metered screen time, and regularly exspesses joy, creatively, and imagination.

She gives me hope, that there are other children like her.

I’m always using a proton vpn. As well as a hardened librewolf and default ironfox. I definitly get more captchas and there are some sites that don’t load up, but I have yet found a site that blocks me that I’d turn the vpn off for.

Somethings to note though:

I have been suspended from esty after buying stuff, likely from the vpn. I appealed but nothing has really happened.

Youtube can be a pain, I no longer use google accounts and I don’t bother using their captchs. I just shuffle around on my vpn until I’m no longer a bot.

Streaming; netflix is fine, though I stick to my home country normally.

I tried a couple of other with limited success, nowadays I only use netflix on my compy with a vanilla firefox

I think I tried Paramount and it wasn’t working out. But it may have been because of it not available in my contry or something.

Disney was givin me a lot of trouble, but I think I did get it to work on my phone with the vpn once. (Had to restart the phone with Disney+ disabled first, the it worked.)

Honesty it’s not that bad.
Also as I was writing this I was going list out my privacy set up, but I realized I think I’ve become meme.

As a parent, screen time was a mistake.

I saw a goose like this years ago, maybe when I was a kid or young adult. it hung out with the Canadian geese, but was only tolerated and unwelcomed to get close. I think I only saw it the one year. I looked around for answers but only looked for birds native to NA. I had decided that it was a hybrid between a Canadian goose and snow. goose. Thank you for the post and solving an old mystery.

Finally! Some good fucking news!

I’m not exactly sure who started it, but my family has a green salad for holiday dinners. it’s sorta a mix of lime jello, cream cheese and pineapple tidbits. it’s coms togeather in such a way that it looks like spme kind of bathroommat or moldy sponge.

Tastes great though, would always recommend. I do believe that exploring new things like a traditional dish is worth looking into. so don’t let an unusual combination ingredients or a slightly off color look put you off of trying a food made with love in mind.

I would argue that Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019 film) was not as good as the trailer lead me to beleve. Specifically the trailer with Clair de Lune by Debussy. Like they hit some of the beats I was looking forward to, but the I disagree with the execution. Ultimately, I felt the movie rang a tad hollow.

Lots of style, good ideas, lack of meaningful substance.
