I literally can’t read this font. I’m gonna need a transcript to know what that third panel says.

Mine was showing floor plans and grainy “pictures” of a room asking me to pick which floor plan matched the picture from that perspective. I swear to you, none of them actually matched, progress reset constantly because I’d invariably pick the wrong one. It provoked such a primal rage in me, it felt like I was being gaslit into believing I was wrong when actually that captcha was cursed to hell and back. Thankfully my very patient partner managed to get through them for me and I only had to do it once to get the launcher to recognise my new pc.
Rev3rze@feddit.nlto News@lemmy.world•Young girls are using anti-aging products they see on social media. The harm is more than skin deep24·11 months agoDon’t know about you, but preteen me wouldn’t be very impressed by an adult saying something as vague as “it can be dangerous”. We understand the danger and even then fall victim to it in some way or other, how can we expect a child to navigate that landscape of insecurities and marketing in any healthy way.
The answer is we can’t and we’re all suckers for letting predatory marketing techniques such as influencers and highly targeted ads run rampant in our daily lives.
Exactly, that’s what the little bin next to the toilet is for.
The point they’re making is that what you’re looking at in the picture isn’t NSFW. The title is deliberately misrepresenting an advert to make it seem NSFW, a classic shitposting tradition.
As a guy who used to be on bumble (met my partner there) I will say that any conversation that started with ‘hey how’s it going’ just went nowhere 100% of the time. It’s so easy to ask literally anything else. We don’t know each other, what’s the point in asking how it’s going if all you’ll ever get as a reply is either “good, and you?” which doesn’t break any ice and introduces a lull on the conversation 4 messages into the chat or if it’s an honest “pretty shit, actually” the tone of the conversation becomes immediately weird because you don’t know each other enough to pry into that.
Things you could ask:
- cuddled any cats lately?
- what made you smile today/this week?
- what song have you played on repeat lately?
- play any games lately? (depending on if they list games as their interest, most matches I got listed board games)
This way you’ll immediately either find common ground or find differences between your everyday experiences that you can talk about.

You need an earlier version apk than APKpure has though (19.16.39). I was surprised with how easy it is tbh. Just had to find a decent site to get that particular apk from but that’s a simple Google search away.
Damn. You broke my longest streak since learning about the Game.
Well, actually, exceptions can be important to lend blanket statements some nuance. Wait, I’m doing it right now, aren’t I?
To me, an ignorant person who has only begun to seriously question capitalism after being exposed to lemmy for about a year, this visual analogy seems to imply that capitalism and fascism are thought to be distinct in the eyes of the maker of this meme, though. I think the suggestion of having them both be homelander conveys a different message which seems to be the consensus here: they are different sides of the same coin.
Admittedly, I’m out of my element here but I’m enjoying the exposure.
Rev3rze@feddit.nlto Music@lemmy.world•Jack Black cancels Tenacious D tour and places future projects on hold after Kyle Gass comments on TrumpEnglish101·1 year agoIt goes both ways though. Kyle should also know his friend wouldn’t be happy about potentially losing his career over calls to murder a person for political reasons.
Disclaimer: I fucking hate Trump and wish he was killed years ago so I’m not saying I disagree with what Kyle said, I’m just disagreeing with when he chose to express it because he was there representing tenacious D which extends to jack as well. I’ll also add that at this point I worry that killing Trump now would only replace him with someone actually competent to drive the fascism train over the tracks that are already firmly in place, but that’s a different discussion.
Rev3rze@feddit.nlto World News@lemmy.world•Tenacious D’s Newcastle show postponed after comment about Trump assassination attemptEnglish4·1 year agoI lost some respect for jables here, the way he’s seemingly throwing Kage under the bus… But at the same time I can recognise that JB has always tried to keep up a positive persona. Not apolitical but he’s never been the type to promote violence directed at specific people. Kyle did him kinda dirty by doing something to potentially harm that (assuming he was truthful when he said he was blindsided by it, and not just saying that after it blew up in the news).
Not saying Kyle is wrong and Jack is right here, though. I’ve always felt a little bad for Kyle that Jack put tenacious D and therefore Kyle on the sidelines when his Hollywood career took off. Kyle was rightfully quite jaded about that and I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s led him to doing this without considering the possible consequences for Jack.
The whole thing sucks for both of them, I guess.

Off the top of my head: right click the task and hit end process. That has literally never failed me. Back in windows XP it might sometimes not actually kill the process but then there was always the “kill process tree” button to fall back on.

The point of that meme as I took it is to illustrate the uncertainty women face when it comes to the intentions of (strange) men. The bear, an actual killer, at least is predictable. Not a criticism of your hot take btw, just sharing my thoughts on this meme.
Uhh I’ll have two with points and a big flat one
