Then STFU and move to fuckin Canada then all you CEOs, I dare ya.
“They’re the same picture”
You are correct. That’s why I said specifically not accounting for filtering from the jury selection questionnaire, when extrapolating the ABC poll to statistics for a hypothetical 12-person jury. Of course the actual jury is not selected once and entirely randomly, but I was hoping to provide an interesting statistic.
Statistically speaking: if 17% of people say that the murder of the healthcare CEO is even somewhat acceptable, if you were to pick 12 people randomly from that group (so not accounting for any other potential filters from a jury questionnaire), you’d only have a 10% chance that all 12 answering it is unacceptable.
I’m guessing that they have limited seats and are trying to make sure no one has to stand on the train by limiting the number of reservations, even if which seat to sit in is not assigned. In Japan, bullet trains and some express services require extra payment with your ticket or pre-booking, for either non-reserved or reserved class.
Look at their address and their warehouse, look at the website of the brands of products they sell and find their address. Are they Canadian or are they just a reseller of the same stuff coming from overseas?
I’m guessing it’s based on the rules of the schoolyard game to run from one side of a field to the other while avoiding the corporate bullies in the center.
When I want a cheap plastic thingy, or cheap hardware and electronics to play around with, I get it off aliexpress. It’s virtually the same stuff as amazon just for the patient. Most of that stuff is made in China already even if I get it from an online or local brick and mortar retailer, so it seems more direct to me, avoiding needless retransportation, warehousing and waste.
When I want a quality thing I buy it from a local shop, especially when I need to see it or compare before buying. I can often find a Canadian online retailer too with just a bit of sleuthing.
I’ve seen a lot of eagles on the west coast, those ones to me
Ukikikikiii~
I’d only let it slide if the person was trying to sleep and it wasn’t busy. Even then, I would at least expect socks, though I suspect theirs became drenched.
UnitedHealth Group is so vertically integrated that, in fact they do own doctors, hospitals and pharmacies under the Optum brand. So yes, they do have a duty to take care of people even if they act like they don’t.
Power tools I always start on the slowest setting when I’m installing a single thing, because my brain seems to forget how dangerous the spinny bits are.
100 psi = 100 pirsent.
The question being referred: “Can I deny your right to strike rq?”
Absolutely they do deserve respect. I’m saying that most people aren’t rallying behind Mangione just because he’s a rich and handsome disabled person.
I will say that more disabled and homeless people I have talked to have discussed wanting to maintain the existing system of exploitation and somehow just get a lucky break/subsidy to get them out of their rough spot, rather than discuss class conciousness, strangely enough.
That said, I conversate with them, give what I can to them, look them in the eye and try not to ignore them. They are humans too. I hope this high profile incident brings more awareness to the need to work together to counteract the lazy bums living off of taxpayer money and government handouts (healthcare executives).
Stupid misogynist President-elect using opportunity to dunk on women he doesn’t know, more at 7.
No, the deputy PM is pretty much the subordinate of the PM and can be fired by them at any time.
I know you are genuinely confused just because you are unfamiliar with our system, so I will try to compare it to the US one. It’s like if a US House Rep like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, also held Secretary of the Treasury Janet Yellen’s position, and also nominated to a title similar to Kamala Harris.
Trudeau and Freeland are not elected directly as leaders, but they were elected individually in their riding as Members of Parliament (MPs). But the leading party caucus of MPs nominates their leader (Trudeau), then the leader selects their deputy PM (Freeland) and cabinet ministers to lead governmental departments (like MacKinnon, Freeland, Holland etc.), usually following certain conventions. You can read about it here.
The spending measure passes the House of Commons and Senate (Parliament, akin to the US Congress). However, as her role as Minister of Finance she disagrees with the move, so she resigns from that. She will stay as an MP unless she resigns as that, but if she really disagrees with her party she can unalign herself from the Liberal caucus.
Can this wait until Feb 1? Give Canadians a bit more of a chance to see the US get fucked first.
