Bourbon and pineapple juice or pineapple tepache is amazing if you want to go in a different direction.

I don’t like winter in general but Christmas is ok. I try not to put any demands on anyone, and only do what I can, but have worked at a place that closes for a week at Christmas, and that has made it a lot easier, getting an actual holiday for the holiday instead of scrambling to put it together.
You have not failed, you are alive, you are successful at living by definition. If someone at the holidays is making you feel unsuccessful, that’s mean. If it’s just you feeling it, though, they may not feel the same way. My kids LOVE unmarried aunts & uncles and I loved mine too. You are free to love them without responsibility, more like a friend and that is something kids can really use.
In the end, it’s just a holiday - most of us aren’t religious, it’s a get together time, some presents, a meal. When my kids were up northish, they said winter really was depressing because of the lack of sunlight, they had not realized that was a real phenomenon and were startled by how it made them feel. So be aware you may be feeling worse than usual just because of that, not seeing clearly or objectively.
It did move slowly, after emerging, lumbering along the busy road, so probably yeah. Still, very cool.
I am past that time, but yes my experience was -
Before period, but past ovulation, the premenstrual - a little too much energy, so much sex drive, good appetite, a little constipated.
As soon as period starts, everything lets go. Horrible migraine, loose stools, no appetite. So bad for about 3 days then after that it was just blood. That drop in hormones that lets the period start can be brutal, and right at ovulation a mini version of the same drop happens, which I always found perplexing, because it tanked my sex drive. Seems like bad design.
Quite a few but one of my favorites was - standing on the corner with a bunch of people waiting for the bus, when the ground began to rise beneath us and we rose, we were standing on the back of an enormous spider. Our bus was a giant spider.
Like regular TV? Ditched that when it went to digital and our TV didn’t work, never watched much though.
Netflix and stuff? Streaming? One or two nights a week. We are watching Arcane now, just finished Preacher. I go very slowly through these, husband watches an hour of “TV” every night to relax, but I have to get away from screens before bed to relax.
I found corn broth really improves the vegan dough. You can use cobs to make it, and save the corn for something else. Corn cobs & an onion.
Me too! So flavorful. I don’t do bone broth exactly, can’t get them that clean. But there are some in my freezer right now waiting.
My kids have asked for tamales every year since I made them for Christmas about ten years ago, but I am not yet rested up from that batch. Even though we had a tamalada and they helped wrap them, the days ahead making tamale dough (two versions because we have vegans) and fillings (several versions because, again, vegans) it was exhausting. I think it will be either gumbo or oxtail soup this year, and a big pot of beans.
Whew, that’s good news. My MIL always just buys a bucket of Manteca but I don’t like to do that either.
Very cool. I think I’ll wait for the red maples we have to get a little bigger then see if I can train some vines up them. I saw that live plants of it are available near me.
Not an answer for you right now, but I just make lard whenever we get a big hunk of pork, I get the one with a bone and skin cut the skin & fat off and render it and it’s quite a project but makes enough for my purposes though the year, I don’t use it often. I wouldn’t expect a shop to do that for me for any amount I’d be willing to pay!

But I’d say whenever you have no money worries, that’s wealthy. Like you could retire today if you wanted and not just survive but buy a new car or house if you wanted to, go on a long vacation, anything that just needs money to do is within your reach. Never have to say no simply because of money. That is what I define as wealth (financial wealth) and it’s different amounts in different places.
Well hopefully the world will figure this out, or population On a small scale it’s so obvious that soil needs to be managed for a healthy garden or small farm. Big farms just throw down fertilizer (which was a world changing improvement to agriculture) and don’t do enough to keep the soil alive and healthy. The headline “poor soil forces fertilizer use” is sort of backwards as it’s the industrial farming that’s sucked the life out of the soil.

The filter to over-smooth everything and the ridiculously aging roller set hairstyle are making her look like a well maintained 60 year old.
Put the same person in different clothes and a more relaxed hairstyle and she would look completely different. I bet she was elected young and tried to look more mature.
It doesn’t look like anyone cooks in that kitchen either.
Thanks, that helps. We are 10a, last few years have been quite mild winters but this year it already has been cold twice (40f) overnight and it’s not even January.
I do better shopping online. I am tallish and there’s not much available locally, so much more available online.
Generally you can write to customer service for actual measurements, I have to do that sometimes. Reading reviews can help too, especially when people say their measurements and what size they got.
My kids (as I did when I was their age) do love shopping at the thrift store, trying things on.
