102·9 days agoYes but that’s the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard. They are two different words used to explain two different concepts. Just spell them and articulate yourself correctly. New generations may create modern words to represent modern concepts, but even those need to be spelled correctly to be correctly understood. If teachers adopted your opinion, none of us would have generalised communication (language), and therefore none of us would be able to understand eachother. Misspelling words misrepresents ideas. Nobody spells fart instead of cart and expects you to understand. I agree with the statement but your understanding needs more nuance.

131·2 months agoAre you trying to say people in many countries wont see these warnings because of weak regulations for the pharmaceutical industry? I dont get what you mean when you say “WE (Americans) need these warnings,” because that sounds like youre saying Americans are so stupid they need the warnings when I would say that everyone should be warned about thalidomide side effects.
