Usually not, but for some games it takes ages and I do end up skipping them. For example with Deadlock it took like 30-45 minutes after every update. Started skipping it at some point and never noticed any difference in performance.

The main issues of Switch 2’s display are an extremely slow response time as well as prominent ghosting/blur. You can see some measurements here for example. It’s not too bad when it comes to color reproduction and of course it’s higher resolution, so I guess it depends on how much you care about motion clarity and response time compared to that. But in those 2 categories, it’s measurably pretty bad.

Do you mostly play in TV-mode or portable? In the latter case, I’d wait for an OLED version of the Switch 2 personally, as the current model has a screen that’s pretty mid and which will definitely feel like a downgrade from Switch OLED.

The new variant with a changeable battery is Europe-only, so if you’re located outside of Europe (or UAE/Oman/Saudi Arabia) you won’t be able to easily get it.

They can be. IMO it being fast food or not depends more on the restaurant and their methods of preparation rather than the specific dish. You can have ramen that’s fast food and you can also have a burger that isn’t.

I’d go for a prebuilt unless you really need that particular form factor. A slightly larger prebuilt with similar specs will not only be slightly cheaper, but also have better performance (due to the Steam Machine being quite limited by thermals and power draw).

The entire games industry, and software development in general, is unstable right now. The few companies that are still stable aren’t hiring. If you have a job, you try to keep it. Because trying to get a new job will be an absolute nightmare. I’m in that situation myself right now.

Yeah, I think I know what happened here, as I just searched “Steam TOS” and this site came up, simply titled “Terms of Service”, which includes almost the same passage. But that’s actually the TOS for the game “Rec Room”. So it looks like search engines are screwing that up, making specific games’ TOS look like Steam’s TOS.
