That’s very helpful info to someone looking to step foot into the Linux world, like myself. Thanks!

Boost. There were several other great ones I tried, such as Sync and Relay, but Boost suited me best.
Another vote for Windy. They now have the UKV High-res model (provided by The Met Office). The live rainfall radar is also Met data.
The other one to try is The Met Office official app. Depends what you’re after really. If it’s a general reliable forecast, official Met app. More layers, compare different models etc., then Windy.
It can depend on the area you’re going into, but things like continuous learning of new skills, as well as keeping up-to-date with the latest happenings in that field, are always good ones to do.
Russia took quite a bit of territory in the northern parts early on, which Ukraine have since taken back. They’ve also taken some ground back that was lost a few years ago from the east.
That’s great! I wish that happened with me. I got my parents on it, but others were not willing to try it out. In the end, pretty much everyone I knew stuck with WhatsApp, and we’re still there.
I’m not on Facebook, so don’t use Messenger. I communicate with 90% of my friends and family using WhatsApp.
I would like to use Signal, but have the same problem as you - More than 90% of my friends and family don’t use Signal unfortunately.
For those wondering about their add-ins, Microsoft quote “To provide a more reliable and stable add-in experience, VSTO and COM add-ins aren’t supported in the new Outlook on Windows. To ensure your add-in continues to work in the new Outlook on Windows, you must migrate your VSTO or COM add-in to an Outlook web add-in.”
Looks like it might be a while until businesses move to this web based version then, as many rely on business extensions in Outlook.
Signal and WhatsApp have also said they’d likely leave the UK market if this bill is passed as it currently is.
I do experience the same, yes. I think my brain automatically backspaces a couple of times and corrects the correction. Now you mention it, it will probably bug me now lol! You may find deleting “it’s” and “its” stops those autocorrections.
Gboard here as well. I’ve always been happy with it, both it’s functionality (good swipe support, gifs etc.) as well as customisation. I’d also be interested to hear what others use as well, as it’s been at least a couple of years since I tried any others.
Exactly the same here. I’m eagerly awaiting the Boost for Lemmy app!
That brings back memories!
Mark Russinovich has released some awesome Sysinternals tools, as well as hobby projects like this. I still use some of his Sysinternals tools to this day.
It is also common for Microsoft to post errata online. They’ve done this for many years if I recall correctly.
Boost for Lemmy is coming - You can register your interest on the Play Store.
I’m sure I read that as well. Hopefully he’s had a think and decided that a Lemmy app would be really worthwhile. Excited to see what he creates, as I’ve used Boost for years and thought it was awesome.
Currently 2.4/5.0 on the Play Store. Wasn’t that long ago when it was around 4.0. Their rating has taken a beating over the last few weeks.
I don’t think you need FF Nightly. I’ve been running uBlock Origin on FF (main release on the Play Store) for some time now :)
