Biodegradables in the trash?! That’s even worse! I just hand wash and use the dishwasher as a dry rack.

Better yet, completely rinse everything off of the dishes before putting them in the washer.
I mean, if it were to become a trend, I’m sure we might see some sort of results. (Hopefully this is within the spirit of the new ToS.)
I already broke everything down and replaced the seal inside the tank. That’s why I was going to replace the actuators this week, too.
Having not received any good metal options from here, or from searching, I’ll probably just end up buying identical replacements to the originals.
But, yes. I stopped using the bricks because of the harm of the parts and seals within the tank water, on top of the corrosion to the actuators themselves.
Edit: went ahead and ordered duplicate replacements.
In Atlanta, GA (USA), I was running on the Beltline (our huge walkable sidewalk path that circles through the city) and passed a homeless guy… shitting. Pants down to his ankles and squatting a foot off the path in some leaves. Everything exposed, just dropping a load.
Edit: another good one, but like 20 years ago. One of my last years in HS, my GF and I went to this local sit in pizza joint with some friends and got a window seat. And I kid you not, some fucking 6-10 year old walks up to the wall outside of our window, drops his pants and whips out his pecker, and starts peeing on the wall less than a foot away from our table inside.
Yeah, I’ve seen these exact ones for about $9 per. But, I wanted something more. The Kohler ones looked great, but cost $35ish per and were still coated plastic.
Exactly, that’s why I mentioned that I stopped using the bricks. I just want more robust buttons to replace the corroded ones, now.
But, I want it in my lungs and steaming liquid flavor water doesn’t sound like it’ll mix well with those.
I stopped microwaving plastic containers like 15-20 years ago. Hopefully that’s enough.
It’s bonkers, too, with how much we know and knew pharmaceutical companies were and are doing the same thing. Look at the price gouging for insulin! Look at the opioid industry and pandemic! But, just like those, the oil, cigarette, and even alcohol industries… they’re protected. It’s ok if it’s capitalism! Up until someone finally brings out the guillotine for a CEO.
These companies are the death (lost the word, “courts”?) panels* that the Republicans cried fake outrage about when Democrats pushed the Affordable Care Act.
Edit: thank you @DisguisedJoker@lemmy.world and @neidu3@sh.itjust.works
We have something like that, Ponce City Market in Atlanta. I believe it was an old Ford plant. But, I think that they’re luxury apartments, which doesn’t really help fix the affordable housing issue.
Good piece, and pretty cool.
I figured it’d be alright until the cheese came out a little off in color. Didn’t smell weird… but, I didn’t trust myself to ‘taste’ it, I wolfed down what I could stomach before I could taste it, and tossed the rest.
The shitty thing was that I had dedicated so much time to cooking everything else, once the cheese came out I had already invested too much in my sunk cost fallacy.
Combine the fort metaphor with some shamanistic spirit mantra about protecting your hidden secrets of your mind and done.
I did a hamburger helper, probably 5 months ago, where the liquid cheese sauce was supposed to be white… but was more off white/sickly yellow… needless to say I only ate as much as I needed and threw the rest out. 😂
I did the best I could to support the ‘we don’t waste food in this house’ mantra. I’m sure it was fine, but i lost my appetite merely from the thought of it.
Don’t make fun of his stutter, that’s ableist. Make fun of his idiotic arguments instead.
If you weren’t born into being one of those poors.
I think mine is animalistic fear of damaging yourself. I’m fine, I sit down and act nonchalant. I’ll talk and look at the person or them doing it. But, under that is my skin getting clammy and breaking out in a light sweat…
Two dogs, takes half as long.
