Maybe I’m just looking for a different type of advertisement. I’m interested in what combat looks like, what gameplay loop they’re going for, which professions are intended for release (and the profession system in general), what game types are supported (PvP, WvW, GvG), team composition goals, etc. Lore and visuals are cool, I guess, but I don’t but a product for its look or backstory.

I’m genuinely very excited for this, but I have to ask: What use is this video as far as an advertisement? What does the video add beyond what an official headline with GW3 on it couldn’t? There’s no gameplay, information, nothing but some pretty pictures and a voice-over. The most I could gather is there’s some form of rock climbing, there’s mounts, and there are classes. But even some of that might be off.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•[Spoilers welcome] How many seasons in a Game of Thrones rewatch?
7·1 month agoA lot of people are hallucinating here. There were 5 seasons of GoT loosely based on the first five books of ASoIaF. They made a 6th season without having a book as a guide; it was okay but not good enough to continue the story. So they ended the show there while they were ahead. They didn’t want to become another stereotypical show that milked an audience with sub-par material.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•What character is the king of plot armor?
5·2 months agoHe technically died in the second Sea Tunt episode, intentionally drowned since they were short a set of SCUBA gear. He also did get permanent brain damage at least once, so I think the other commenter was being sarcastic. Classic Lana.

1·2 months agoDid you ever figure out a control scheme on Switch that wasn’t absolutely awful? I’ve been trying to replay some childhood classics but I just… can’t…
A movie being scary should naturally emerge from a story being well told.
Where is the light source supposed to be? There’s no gap in the shadow to match the gap between the TV and the stand. Also the chicks hair is way too calm to display a fucking planet on the wall.
A tail as old as time.
