I love how unique it looks (although it would probably be somewhat impractical to me due to the transparency). The images need to be a bit bigger though, not much is visible.

Nothing wrong with Cinnamon per se, I was just using it back in 2012 or so. It was much more frustrating to use FOSS back then and some of the bitterness has stayed with me I guess. The same is true for Mate…
Although I am no fun of Cinnamon, this is one of the best DE customizations Live seen. Congratulations
I wanted something over the top and colorful, the icons did the job.
I use gTile. Use with caution though, I think it broke my setup and I logged into a blank purple screen.
Indeed! Had to restore to defaults after I rebooted because gnome logged me in a blank purple screen. :D
Haha, I have never seen garuda before. :D
Thanks! Will check.
Looks good. I would like to test cosmic whenever I have the time.
Try Solaris by Stanislaw Lem. One of the best books I’ve ever read and is more or less what you are describing.
I read Solaris recently and was genuinely blown away. Anything from Ursala le Guin is also an excellent choice although I would suggest “the Dispossessed”.
The EU is rapidly becoming a neoliberal hellehole resembling the US. I no longer have any hope for existing institutions resisting corporate encroachment. Best that can be done is the support of initiatives like the fediverse and foss in general but if the current trend continues even that is in a precarious position.
Oxygen not included
Stupidity and greed, a great combination!
Have been using Antennapod on Android for some months now. It is by far the best app I have used. Feature rich and no ads is the best one can hope for.
Also nukes
The main advantage ios has over Android is its lack of support for virtualization (like java). This makes their apps much less resource hungry, faster, and the phone does not slow down as much over time. Given the fact that idiotic apps like Instagram and Facebook need supercomputers to run on Android the difference for the end user is a huge gulf performancewise. It must be a nightmare for developers though.
For people who know what they are doing it is very easy to maintain the software health on android and keep it running fast over time. If you don’t though usage of apps like the ones mentioned above will make it run like a commodore in months.
The fact implied in your comment, that you have tried this multiple times is somewhat worrying.
Oh I thought OP talked about avoiding reddit in general. I have already visited it at least 3 times today looking for a solution to my laptop’s inability to connect to the internet :P I haven’t thought of avoiding it to send a message, I guess I will simply turn of the computer. I have already deleted Boost for reddit so I will simply not visit it on my phone…
Wow
