Imhotep

I’m the opposite in a way, I tend to look for a specific word and when I can’t find it right away it can make for awkward pauses in my speech. I’m working on it.

But when I was younger, sure, tons of filler words. It gets better

You have a good point there, English is a quite efficient language (which gets shortened even more, like saying “o” instead of zero) and this maybe leaves less time to think.

Kagi switched Apple maps for Mapbox

Youtube is about the last Alphabet service I knowingly use (except when someone shares a google doc).
I thought you meant no Youtube at all. I use Freetube and Newpipe almost exclusively.
Peertube too, when the instance I use to follow channels works (the two previous ones closed). It’s a pain to subscribe to stuff. Maybe with RSS feeds…

edit: I’ve been subscribed to Kagi for a while too, maybe going two years. Love it. Wish it was cheaper

I really liked Qwant maps, a good use of OSM, but the idiots closed it…

How do you do that? I would love to be able to avoid YouTube. I could go without the entertainment part of it, sure. But no more tutorials would already be a big pain. And then there are the news sites with embedded videos. Even the state uses it.

YouTube has single handedly almost nullified my degoogling project

I might try the second one then!

I didn’t think it was a short game. But I’m not a particularly fast player. And I believe the DLCs were installed. Took me a while

I really liked it. From what I understood it’s part of the Alan Wake universe, should I play it ? I tried the beginning of the first one but it seemed a bit too slow/story driven for my taste.

wrong again. Who cares. you’re so fucking pathetic. tankie cunts are every bit as bad as maga fascists. now making accounts outside of .ml I see, pos does what it has to to spread its cuntiness where no one wants them. There’s no blocking you people, it’s like a virus.

I checked the downvotes: all tankies accounts. on .zip and shit.justworks and other non tankie instance.
they caught up

I’m not american you bell end

OSMand is clearly made for hiking and other sports. Pretty much a must have. I use it all the time.

Certainly not for driving though. For example it considers every trail as a road, and tell you to take a left when really right is a tiny dirt road.
They should remove the car option to avoid more confusion.

They are openly doing it, it’s no secret. They call iit smart cities and safe policing

You’re not in sync with the party it seems.

Not even good at being a tankie lapdog. That’s sad.

You could have checked by yourself but instead chose to say this? You come of as lazy, insulting and ignorant, and for what? Beats me. Tankie maybe?

Edit: tankie. I took the time to find links, for nothing. Tankies are the plague of Lemmy

China has been proposing its surveillance model to other countries through their new silk roads (or whatever the name is)

Cyrano de Bergerac slays the spire

It’s one giant database with different filters for each website.

Other than privacy concerns, I dislike the consumption aspect. I see them swiping and it looks like they’re shopping. I know some people have found meaningful relationships on Tinder, but I can’t get over it.

I wonder if so many using it almost as the default way of dating makes it harder to find someone for those who want to avoid it.

Good Climate Town episode where he mentions this and more car related shenanigans: https://youtu.be/oOttvpjJvAo

(I think it’s the right video)

I have had a dream a few times where I’m standing in a room such as this, choosing what I’m going to be before starting my new life.

I chose poorly.

Granted I don’t know much about the foundation, I wasn’t expecting such an organism, financed through donations, mostly built by the good will of contributors, to have the same values as amazon.

I’ve experienced countless times a native Linux game not working because of a dependency issue, an outdated version of some library that’s not in the distribution repositories anymore. And it’s often very hard or impossible to find it.
I would say it happened with over half the native games I’ve tried.

So unless it’s a popular game with good support, don’t bother and go with wine.

It’s normal to be suspicious in the enshitification era.

Hopefully it’s a normal campaign. And maybe it’s a single player mode based on the true game which is the mmo. An afterthought. Like how ESO can be played without interacting with other players, but it’s not fun. A single player “experience”
