This looks a lot like other native south American stingless bee hives.

7·16 days agoI don’t think my tcl TV has it hardcoded because my pihole is always blocking tcl domains

3·16 days agoWhat you mean by black hole and filter? I blocked a bunch of tcl domains on my pihole and made my router drop everything in port 53 coming from every other device that wasn’t pihole. It seems to have worked for now… Is that a good solution?

Technology@lemmy.world•BYD’s Second-Generation Blade Battery Makes Western EV Tech Look AncientEnglish
2·17 days agoThe battery life and the cost to replace it is the one million dollars question nobody can answer (yet?) …I assume that this is why byd cars are cheap giving the amount of technology they ship in the cars…once we have the risk of having to pay loads of money to replace a battery gone or the actual cost to do it, we should see the prices normalized (without the risk discount)

Just a noob question about your setup: do you have a TLD domain name? Are you behind NAT? just because I wanna set a chat server like matrix or xmpp but I’ve been stuck in how to make it available on the web with these restrictions like no domain, no fixed IP and.behind NAT

1·1 month agoCool! Can I use a ddns like duckdns? I only use my server through a VPN so I haven’t looked into hardening and security stuff to open it to the internet yet. Maybe I’ll just try setting a matrix server soon. Thanks!
I struggle with that…I’m not very popular and I’m afraid nobody will ever talk to me if I ask them to just use a different app. I’m in one group chat from my old army buddies and we barely chat…

Selfhosted@lemmy.world•System requirements for a Matrix server?English
1·1 month agoI’d like to set up a matrix server on my home server (or a xmpp server) but I haven’t been able to figure how to do that. All the docs talk about setting up a vps with a domain name.I don’t have a vps or a domain name and don’t wanna have to pay monthly to a hobby. (I’m poor in a poor country)
Man I wish I had friends to talk to using xmpp or even matrix. Where I live people have hard time using telegram over whatsapp…I hate that I’m forced to use it to talk to people.

4·2 months agoUnfortunately I live in a country where you can’t fill your tank yourself. There’s a law to “protect jobs” so every gas station has to hire employees to pump gas for clients. Besides, I really doubt that someone would have the courage to put those screens on gas pumps. We once were the country that most broke paid phones in the world, back in the 90s. Imagine what people would do to these things.

91·2 months agoEnglish is an easy language, easier than Spanish IMO. If the child lives in a context where the language is spoken all the time doesn’t matter when you talk about a first language.
