Good work! Perspective is one of those things that is pretty mechanical, and one can avoid learning it for a long time by using crutches. It’s always faster to work when one has internalized perspective and especially foreshortening so it comes automatically.
Excellent use of shape and light!
Losing vision as an artist has to be one of the most difficult experiences ever. So glad you share your art. Do you have more art available somewhere?
Finland also isn’t in Scandinavia.
From distance, I thought I’d see an ultra-detailed sketch, but this is conveyed by nothing but the directional lines suggesting of detail. Minimalism at best.
I see you continue to prefer orange and yellow colors. Do you have to order markers in bulk by now?
I sort of hoped that Lemmy communities would have a more original “redditquette” idea to downvoting where downvotes are explained and only done when a post is noise instead of signal. But I guess downvoting as a system will always be “I don’t like this opinion/post”. It’s a shame.
I upvoted this because you posted artwork that you created yourself, which is the point of this community.
Very cool! I love the colors.
Looks like pill-shaped M&Ms mixed into a dough.
DAYM these are amazing! The anatomy, light & shadow, clean marks, style… I love it!
I really like your recent use of stronger color (or more continous regions of color), and also how you manage to make something so abstract look like 3D shapes.
If I may offer a suggestion, the shirt looks like it’s paper-thin and appears to kinda float on him. I think it stands out because of the sharp line between the skin and the white shirt where the contrast draws it out.
Your faces are great as always.
Why are they so unhappy? Why are there so many? Why does the woman look like she’s controlling a crowd of football hooligans?!
I love it.
These are some good figure drawings! What kind of a process do you take when drawing them?
Don’t tell anyone but this was a character design exercise where I got fed up and turned it into a landscape. The sphere was the head.
At first glance this looks like a heart (the actual organ). Overall I like the ones where you tend to go for warm colors with this kind of gradient.
Thank you for your informative comment. I know I’m almost a month late, but I’m about to start my vacation and needed a nice city building game to try.
